Next time you go back, I recommend hitting waterfront pizza, maybe explore the ft warden bunkers (lower bunkers super accessible on the top of the lower park, upper bunkers more interesting up a little 1/2-1mile access road).
Oh my goodness I used to love going on the ferry, especially amazing with some chocolate milk/Sunny D/Caprisun and Hawaiian bread Also I think Fort Warden(?) was meant to defend against deer incursions haha

i been there one time visit Mt Olympic and drove to port of kington then took ferry to Seattle so beautiful place and tasty crape*-*
