On the first point you made, as you briefly mentioned, when riding park board on powder, you can ride switch when your back leg becomes tired. It's a fun to ride both regular and switch on the same powder day, giving different perspectives and experiences, especially when I'm enjoying beautiful deep powder scenery as they come along on either side of the slope depending on the run. Ability to quickly switch side on powder makes you a better rider, too.
In my 30’s with 2 kids under the age of 5’. My park days are over! Traded my custom x in for freeride boards and haven’t missed it once! On the ultra flagship this year as I loved the ultra solution last year :)
i left my pow board at home and whilst an all mountain board works, i can definitely notice the difference on how much weight i need to keep shifting to the back when riding the deep line
Great video. Can you make a video about your GoPro recording setups (head mount + stick) ? It seems like when I record my footage, it never turns out as good as others (e.g. head mount camera is pointed too far down and not catching enough of what's in from of me)
Do you also increase the length as commonly done or do you find just having the setback stance but same length as your freestyle board is enough to ride powder? Looking to add a set back freeride board to my quiver but I’m not looking at a super hard charging board (already have a super stiff hard charger) and worry if going longer is going to make it too hard to handle. Basically seeking the same catch free easy maneuvering ride of my freestyle (so same profile) but able to stay up easier in powder.
Ive been mostly riding a Lago Double Barrel the last few seasons. Pow days are few and far between down here and I tend to always miss them. But i do have a couple Pow boards in the collection most used of those recently has been the Yes. The Y Snowboard. 🙂
Ride Twin Pig has been a great park board for me, but I haven't ridden it in deep powder since I have a pow board... I do figure it would perform better than Kevin's park board in pow.

Switch in powder is a huge skill to have!
Powder board all the way. Riding deep powder is way more fun than hitting jumps.
I agree! Pow is addictive!
Yooo

The weight you save from your suitcase though...
Noooo!
Yewww
Wow, the powder is so good right now! It feels like a long time to see that much powder in Tahoe.

Will get on that video!
do you run the strata bindings for both boards?
One of each. Got to have a good powder board on a powder day. If you have to ride on your back leg in the powder you are on the wrong board.
One of each is a good idea!

Hey what do you think of the Salomon CRAFT Board wich made to be a Parkboard with a good flow for powder?
I enjoy park more, but pow days in SoCal is rare and can’t be missed 🤷♂️
Love SoCal park days too!
The right tool for the right job!
Do you have a favourite tool Chuck?

Nice!
Volume shifted park boards

@@masondixon1718 the Twinpig is the exact board I had in mind. TJ talked about how well the tp performs in deep powder.
Nice!
I imagine the pow board is better in pow and the park board is better in the park.
You are correct
All mountain can tick both boxes… just saying 😂
Only for random pow occasions... Riding 4 days straight in pow with a default all mountain will kill everyone
@@MoritzPilz obviously, but if your on a trip and its your last day and you only have the one board it can work…
Jack of all trades, Master of none.
Adam you have too many boards!
@@SnowboardProCamp hahaha not even close to your collection!
Powder is always better
Japow!
