I’m pretty sure the arm bar replaced the hand check. Also, the offensive foul (Mark Price play) is usually called if you get your arms extended while pushing off. It is why I’d argue that there is a small chance they wouldn’t even call MJ’s Game 6 winner as a push off after replay. On that play, Jordan gets his hand on Russell as Russell’s moment moves him away. Jordan makes contact with Russell and immediately moves his hand down instead of extending. On the Miller cuts, Jordan was actually cutoff Reggie by beating him to his spot and getting in to the passing lane.
MJ probably the truest 2 way player in NBA history.. and that's why he's the 🐐.. No player even comes close imo to being as good as a 2 way player as MJ was especially 86 to 93 version of MJ
@@itzkhiiii Yeah he was more polished but any MJ fan has to admit he had far more help on the defensive end of the court in the 2nd 3peat as pip was prime, Rodzillaa was a 🐐 on defence and then throw in Ron Harper who was a defensive specialist.. I mean it was unfair to the rest of the league 96-98 bulls having 4 elite defenders on the 1 team..
By today's rules alot of things would be fouls now you see why the rules was changed with mj Iq he knew just what to do to avoid being called for fouls
This is why people who played back in these times and watch knows it was hard bc you could do a lot and it not be a foul. NBA today is weak. Back in that time hand was part of the ball so it wasn’t a foul.
Listen listen I play football I play baseball do your homework watch the tapes watch the people th!!!at you're about to play that's how you win find their weakness and take advantage of it to be the man you got to be the man
Bro back in the day your hands were considered part of the ball. Your generation this everything is a foul. I'm not speaking about you specifically but I am talking about your generation
@@itzkhiiii you're still not old enough to fully understand what I'm saying. I'm 46 and started playing basketball at about 8yrs old and I can assure you that your rec league didn't play by those NBA rules. It was way way more physical than anything you've ever played as far as organized ball is concerned!! Street ball you might played pretty physical but not organized ball for sure. I'm not knocking your take a point of view but I'm telling you from 1st hand experience

yea
Back then you could keep the hand there for 2-3 seconds and it would be called so you could steer and the forearm was arm bar which was legal
yea
