    Machida is the man!! how can you not respect this guy?

  • @manz92

    This is why I enjoy lyoto so much, for him it is about martial arts, since the dawn of time combat was about fighting with all you got, regardless of win and lose and Machida is always so humble.

    keep up the good work Machida:) your one of the only fighters I have seen that gets better every fight of his career your 35 and look younger faster and stronger and still have the passion for what you do.

    ♥ Lyoto, such a great sportsman, and human being. This is what all athletes should aspire to be. Humble, and grateful for what the fans give them. That's why us fans stick around, through the wins and the losses -- always.

    It is really cool to see an OG like Wandy and Machida doing their thing. When you see the old kung fu flicks with masters fighting this is what they were aiming for. Two genuine masters of martial arts I would love to be in the room.

    Lyoto Machida will be the One Eighty Five champ. My favorite fighter in the UFC. Not just because he is a great fighter but he is a true champion. He is the only guy in the cage that respects his opponents enough to hold back when they are clearly knocked out. True Champion.

    Machida at 185? Good Lord he's gonna wreck shop in that division. Wrestlers wont be able to take him down and he's already the most elusive striker in the division the day he steps foot into it.

    Message to the UFC: I will take Lyoto speaking Portuguese with what he says in subtitles over him speaking English any day. When the guy can actually speak comfortably, he is straight-up inspirational.

  • @scrambliedeggs
    @scrambliedeggs 11 лет назад

    I think his move to 185 was a good thing, though. Machida was pretty much in no-mans land over at 205 and I believe that he's still got what it takes to win 2nd belt before retirement.

  • @mplsmonk
    @mplsmonk 11 лет назад

    I've always supported Lyoto because he stayed humble. But he's the only guy to viciously KO Rashad and that was my favorite fighter. The dragon is about to start piling up a lot more finishes after getting screwed by the judges in his last bout.

    i think his style has always been for points, thats what karate is all about. it just so happens hes got deadly ko power haha but if he evades for 3 rounds and inflicts more damage hes always been able to win decision. doesnt happen as much with wall and stall

    Wanderlei is Curitibanos, an area settled by Polish, Ukrainian and Portugese, and his lineage is those as well as negro...
    Anderson is of Pardo-Brazilian, a mix of negro, caucasian and Brazilian...
    Lyoto had a Brazilian/Italian mother and a Japanese father...
    ~hope that helps~

    You may have been in no rule fights but you have to understand, the only thing stopping these UFC dudes from actually displaying illegal/lethal moves are rules and ref's. They have reached this level not on luck alone. Most of the fighters you see on t.v. have also come from backrounds that might mirror yours to a certain extent, it might surprise you.

  • @Gymrat2006

    Funny thing is GSP and Machida both share a common base style in Karate. Long before he was a wrestler GSP he was a Karate striker and if you know karate this is still very obvious. I don't think the fight was fixed at all I think Machida is extremely elusive and that's why we didn't see Munuz shoot.

  • @peacenluvvprogaming7669
    @peacenluvvprogaming7669 11 лет назад

    the UFC is not fixed but just has a lack of accurate judging in some fights, title fights is a whole different story if you just get a few more strikes or takedowns than the champ you still lose cause the rule is you have to clearly beat the champ to be the champ. Witch is understandable basically knock them out, sub, or clearly own them every round of the fight but in none title fights the winner is the winner even if its only by a few strikes and/or takedowns they need accurate judging.

    Yea! If people don't like the leg humping stalling that wrestlers like myself do, then they should definitely go watch K1. I mean, why does it even matter if real grapplers like jiu jitsu guys are exciting? MMA grappling is all about leg humping wrestling... so if you don't like it, go watch K1. It doesn't even matter if you understand the intricacies of real grappling (jiu jitsu), because if you aren't a fan of leg humping stalling wrestling then you aren't a fan of MMA. Period.
    Fuck me GSP!
