Everyone seems so respectful towards Machida, in the videos where he trains with other Champs like Silva they all seem to have the utmost respect for Machida. I think that's really fucking cool
Lyoto Machida will be the One Eighty Five champ. My favorite fighter in the UFC. Not just because he is a great fighter but he is a true champion. He is the only guy in the cage that respects his opponents enough to hold back when they are clearly knocked out. True Champion.
keep up the good work Machida:) your one of the only fighters I have seen that gets better every fight of his career your 35 and look younger faster and stronger and still have the passion for what you do.
This is why I enjoy lyoto so much, for him it is about martial arts, since the dawn of time combat was about fighting with all you got, regardless of win and lose and Machida is always so humble.
♥ Lyoto, such a great sportsman, and human being. This is what all athletes should aspire to be. Humble, and grateful for what the fans give them. That's why us fans stick around, through the wins and the losses -- always.
It is really cool to see an OG like Wandy and Machida doing their thing. When you see the old kung fu flicks with masters fighting this is what they were aiming for. Two genuine masters of martial arts I would love to be in the room.
Win or lose I have always been a big fan MACHIDA I have felt rejoice in your victorys and have felt a heavy heart in your defeats I know you are the best. Hope to meet you one day master.
Machida at 185? Good Lord he's gonna wreck shop in that division. Wrestlers wont be able to take him down and he's already the most elusive striker in the division the day he steps foot into it.
Message to the UFC: I will take Lyoto speaking Portuguese with what he says in subtitles over him speaking English any day. When the guy can actually speak comfortably, he is straight-up inspirational.
I think his move to 185 was a good thing, though. Machida was pretty much in no-mans land over at 205 and I believe that he's still got what it takes to win 2nd belt before retirement.
I've always supported Lyoto because he stayed humble. But he's the only guy to viciously KO Rashad and that was my favorite fighter. The dragon is about to start piling up a lot more finishes after getting screwed by the judges in his last bout.
You may have been in no rule fights but you have to understand, the only thing stopping these UFC dudes from actually displaying illegal/lethal moves are rules and ref's. They have reached this level not on luck alone. Most of the fighters you see on t.v. have also come from backrounds that might mirror yours to a certain extent, it might surprise you.
Allow me to illuminate you... Wanderlei is Curitibanos, an area settled by Polish, Ukrainian and Portugese, and his lineage is those as well as negro... Anderson is of Pardo-Brazilian, a mix of negro, caucasian and Brazilian... Lyoto had a Brazilian/Italian mother and a Japanese father... ~hope that helps~
i think his style has always been for points, thats what karate is all about. it just so happens hes got deadly ko power haha but if he evades for 3 rounds and inflicts more damage hes always been able to win decision. doesnt happen as much with wall and stall
the UFC is not fixed but just has a lack of accurate judging in some fights, title fights is a whole different story if you just get a few more strikes or takedowns than the champ you still lose cause the rule is you have to clearly beat the champ to be the champ. Witch is understandable basically knock them out, sub, or clearly own them every round of the fight but in none title fights the winner is the winner even if its only by a few strikes and/or takedowns they need accurate judging.
Funny thing is GSP and Machida both share a common base style in Karate. Long before he was a wrestler GSP he was a Karate striker and if you know karate this is still very obvious. I don't think the fight was fixed at all I think Machida is extremely elusive and that's why we didn't see Munuz shoot.
Machida is so awesome. Before the fight, he'll show the up most respect towards an opponent. And then KO the guy on fight night. Haha. A strategic killer but, also humble.
Machida is the reason why i am a MMA fan he was the first fighter that a saw beating people like Tito Ortiz and Rashad Evans up and it's not just impressive that he did it but how he did it he made it look like nothing to him i wan't that Machida back
Never have I seen someone been burned so damn bad that even I felt sorry for the one being called out. Wow dude, nice, it would appear you've done your homework.
Alot of people like him, but he's been fighting way too safe now for the past 2 fights. He usually always goes in for the kill, and these last fights he was fighting for points.
That fight with Munoz was fixed that kick hit his glove machida didn't even try to finish because he knew Munoz was staying down they are friends and he did machida a favor
This video was allready upload a year and half ago for Wanderlei vs Rich Franklin fight, thought they have not showed everything in here, but the essential is a promotion for Wand vs Franklin,And I think Lyoto is talkin' about is last lost against Jon Jones and not Phil Davis, that's an old foutage lol you can see it in lany ways
1. Race is a social construct, we're all Homo Sapiens 2. What ever his ethnic/cultural leanings Lyoto Machida seems to be doing a great job of defining himself; show some respect!
well munoz says his plan is to take him down and gnp somehow. the dragon will be too quick.. and if they both stand lyoto has that KO snake strike and will smother you. marks only gameplan that I see he can use is to get him on the fence desperately and try to do whatever he can from there. HE HAS NO OTHER OPTIONS.. the dragon wins everything else
Machida is getting knocked out no doubt about it, way better than what would have been a shitty fight between Munoz and Bisping. Here's hoping he never fights again. PWM!
Yea! If people don't like the leg humping stalling that wrestlers like myself do, then they should definitely go watch K1. I mean, why does it even matter if real grapplers like jiu jitsu guys are exciting? MMA grappling is all about leg humping wrestling... so if you don't like it, go watch K1. It doesn't even matter if you understand the intricacies of real grappling (jiu jitsu), because if you aren't a fan of leg humping stalling wrestling then you aren't a fan of MMA. Period. Fuck me GSP!
Not happy that Comcast doesn't have FS2!...unless it's in flipping Spanish! Wtf. Had to give comcast a piece of my mind and have them give me the channel in Spanish so I could at least watch it. Gotta have my UFC!
just because your from a certain country doesn't mean you have a natural advantage you only have a learning advantage. Then how come all Japanese people aren't bosses at fighting. EACH individual is in charge of their skills and abilities it has nothing to do with race.
he is a very respectable person as well.... shows more character of a champ than most
Machida is the man!! how can you not respect this guy?
Everyone seems so respectful towards Machida, in the videos where he trains with other Champs like Silva they all seem to have the utmost respect for Machida. I think that's really fucking cool

Lyoto Machida is an awesome fighter, he might have loss his lost his last few fights but he's still a beast.
And his grappling is constantly improving, the man is a black belt in BJJ, Judo and has a bit of experience is sumo, killer brah
machida fan from the beginning and still am.. Lets go dragon!
Completely agree, I have been a Machida fan for a long time, never understood the hate.
Love Lyoto, he's a gentleman, even when he's kicking your face in!..Mark also I like, he has great speed and power. Good fights!
Machida will always be one of my favorite fighters. Win, lose, or draw. I hope this move to 185 is good for him. I can't fathom that it wouldn't be.
Win or lose I have always been a big fan MACHIDA I have felt rejoice in your victorys and have felt a heavy heart in your defeats I know you are the best. Hope to meet you one day master.
So happy he won today! Hopefully 185 is where we'll see the great Lyoto flourish again!
Lyoto, Wanderlei & Werdum training together! Brazilians are awesome!
Wand and the Dragon, 2 of my all time faves!
i love this guy. legend
Machida at 185? Good Lord he's gonna wreck shop in that division. Wrestlers wont be able to take him down and he's already the most elusive striker in the division the day he steps foot into it.
I love how he talks. Very assertive. Everything he says sounds really deep. It's a shame he's not so articulate in English.
i would love to see shogun and lyoto training, also with wandy and werdum with master rafael cordeiro, that would be a sick camp
Some serious bad asses in that gym...No one can stop Machida at middle weight ..
Machida's a true Samurai.
DAMN! Great video.
Machida is the Bruce Lee of the UFC. Bless ya, master Lee.
Lyoto is so fucking cool I can't understand how some people hate on him.
The fact that Lyoto is giving Silva pointers. Damn, there shouldn't be any doubt that Lyoto can't get back to his elite level @ 185.
you know you are badass when wandy calls you master.
Message to the UFC: I will take Lyoto speaking Portuguese with what he says in subtitles over him speaking English any day. When the guy can actually speak comfortably, he is straight-up inspirational.

yeah man you go do that!
Wandering is always fun to watch.
1:28, and that ladies and gentleman is the way of the master..while the music is playing lol..
I am a big fan of Lyoto Machida.

He's really good.No doubt
Respect
Good luck lyoto!!
That some Bruce Lee level fighter philosophy there, among the best fighters out there.

Lyoto's looking to finish in this fight. Should be reallllly interesting.
GRANDE LUTADOR E PRINCIPALMENTE GRANDE HOMEM E BOM CORAÇÃO TEU RETORNO SÓ PODERÁ SER COM UMA VITORIA FORÇA LYOTO QUE DEUS GUIE SEUS PUNHOS.
Allow me to illuminate you...

Of course I am assuming, at the weigh in he didn't look weight drained.
eresss unaaa makinaa el mejor de todooss MACHIDA
Machida for President. So wise, so technical. So spiritual. Kick that Munoz ass.
I love the Dragon !!!!!!!!

Cain is Awesome!, Machida is awesome, and you sir are awesome
Whats the music playing both in the beginning and in the end?
i honestly think the way Machida loss to Jones was truly devastating..
Machida is so awesome. Before the fight, he'll show the up most respect towards an opponent. And then KO the guy on fight night. Haha. A strategic killer but, also humble.
Hopefully its not a boring friendly spare we see tomorrow between Munoz and machida
THE DRAGON!! what a fucking perfect nickname for llyoto this guy shouldve been in the movie with brucelee lol
Machida is the reason why i am a MMA fan he was the first fighter that a saw beating people like Tito Ortiz and Rashad Evans up and it's not just impressive that he did it but how he did it he made it look like nothing to him i wan't that Machida back

Wow dude, nice, it would appear you've done your homework.
Do lyoto and wanderlia train often together or is this new that they are training together?
It's hard not to root for machida
yeah.. all 3 look like they could be brothers
Alot of people like him, but he's been fighting way too safe now for the past 2 fights. He usually always goes in for the kill, and these last fights he was fighting for points.

Youre right.
You know what? I agree with skyhunter. Pepperoni is really good when you grill it.
i kind of feel bad for mahida Because he once was on of the best undefeated fighter to ever step on to a mat and now hes fight non payperview
Lyoto will plow through 185 division straight to GSP. Lyoto vs GSP 2015.
Wandy's team comes to Blackhouse now too?
Wasn't Wanderlei suposed to be Injured?? wasn't that the reason he refused to fight Sonnen at 167?
This video was allready upload a year and half ago for Wanderlei vs Rich Franklin fight, thought they have not showed everything in here, but the essential is a promotion for Wand vs Franklin,And I think Lyoto is talkin' about is last lost against Jon Jones and not Phil Davis, that's an old foutage lol you can see it in lany ways
I can't believe what I'm hearing.
1. Race is a social construct, we're all Homo Sapiens 2. What ever his ethnic/cultural leanings Lyoto Machida seems to be doing a great job of defining himself; show some respect!
does anyone know what the first song they use in this video is called?
There needs to me more bad guys in the ufc. Everyone fighter seems to be really cool and that makes it hard to pull for one guy
god damn he looks fit at 185
well munoz says his plan is to take him down and gnp somehow. the dragon will be too quick.. and if they both stand lyoto has that KO snake strike and will smother you. marks only gameplan that I see he can use is to get him on the fence desperately and try to do whatever he can from there. RIP Munoz!
fck UFC, You def use the most bad ass soundtrack at every video...
3:36 sick
Machida is getting knocked out no doubt about it, way better than what would have been a shitty fight between Munoz and Bisping. Here's hoping he never fights again. PWM!
They're Brazilian. Their nationality is Brazilian. Their ethnic backgrounds are totally different. But their nationality, is the same.
Yea! If people don't like the leg humping stalling that wrestlers like myself do, then they should definitely go watch K1. Fuck me GSP!
This just goes to show, how nonsensical people can thumbs up a comment when things just "sound" right. Ridiculous.
Got Damn...Machida got in shape 2b at 185lbs...he looks like he's going 2 fuck up his next opponent bY KO or TKO!!!
Karate is a point fighting sport yeah, but for the most part he's always gone for the finishes. Besides against Shogun.
Im a machida fan but im sorry to say the machida era is finished!
Not happy that Comcast doesn't have FS2!...unless it's in flipping Spanish! Wtf. Had to give comcast a piece of my mind and have them give me the channel in Spanish so I could at least watch it. Gotta have my UFC!
Most likely Munoz will hug Machida against the cage most of the night.
Lyoto Machida Vs Cung Le!
looks like he's reading off a prompt or something if you look closely
just because your from a certain country doesn't mean you have a natural advantage you only have a learning advantage. Then how come all Japanese people aren't bosses at fighting. EACH individual is in charge of their skills and abilities it has nothing to do with race.
His fan base.
i would think that's better than looking aggressive but actually not getting anything done?
kimbo slice was in MANY fights with no ref.. yet when he went into the UFC, well let's just say he got his ass handed to him by nobodies..
this camera man sure does zoom in and out and moves around a lot
0:02 Lyoto :D
