If you had a power source that was external, and then connected it to a transmitter, I don’t see an issue. The only thing I can see is the more you have going on, the more potential for feedback through the mic. So less clarity. Maybe
I bought the Apple adapter, I plug it in like you explain but it just doesn’t automatically start using the nano mic for sound. When I record it’s still using the iPhone mic. Would you possibly know why?
I was having the same issue. Even today with a different mic. Sometimes the connector needs to be rotated 180 degrees and plugged in the other way. What I’ll do, is play a video and plug my gear in. If the video sound cuts out, the mic is registering, of the sound continues, it’s not registering
Yeah I’ve given that a try but still doesn’t seem to work. The light comes on the mic and everything but it just doesn’t pick up the audio. I wonder if there is something wrong with the mic or the cable I’m using to connect the mic and adapter
Is it possible to connect a USB microphone to a wireless transmitter (Rode pro wireless)? Thank you

Try taking the protector case off your phone. The plug may go in a little deeper and make a proper connection inside the phone.
Thank you
