- As my parents are coming to visit us and stay with us for the first time, Bernardo and I are feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement. This is a big step for us, and we want to make sure everything goes smoothly. In this video, we will be sharing our journey as we navigate this new experience of hosting my parents. We will give them our room and will sleep on the couch, we will be figuring out meals, we will take you along as we navigate the ups and downs of this emotional journey. Join us as we tackle this new challenge together and hopefully come out stronger on the other side.

Who are we?
We are Adam (North American) and Bernardo (Brazilian) and we are husbands whose paths crossed back in 2016, when we both still lived in Brazil. Since the very beginning, we shared a common passion for travel and nature, which has only grown over the years and led us to this unexpected journey on RUclips, which has allowed us to connect with an amazing community that we’re beyond grateful for. “Go out and make memories” is our motto of living and a constant reminder for us that true happiness doesn’t come from the material wealth we accumulate, but from the memories we create and share with our loved ones throughout our existence. We invite you to join us in our crazy journey in life and hopefully we can inspire you to go out and make some memories on your own. Welcome aboard!
We are back! Happy weekend everyone. Just to give you a brief background about my parents. My parents were raised in small towns and grew up that homosexuality was a sin. I came out to my parents twice, did the conversion therapy, came out again when I moved to New York and now they fully accept Bernardo and me. I couldn't be prouder to post this video and to see the love they have for not only me but for Bernardo as well. Bernardo and I know that we are blessed to have loving and accepting families. Our goal is to show others that two guys can be in love and that parents can change with time. Their surprise anniversary video will be posted in 2 weeks. Next week, we have a new video in store for you all.
BEAUTIFUL opening! I also loved the footage of the other scenery--the garden and the waterfall, too. You guys are really getting very good with your content and editing! I'm glad to see that your dad is doing much better, Adam. And, kudos to your parents! Even though they are very accepting... even though you two have a beautiful apartment... I would have stayed in a hotel! Too close of quarters for all us to have stayed together without someone (someone like me) becoming claustrophobic! I also loved the intimacy between your parents, Adam. They just seem so relaxed and content with each other. I guess after 40 years together they should be! LOL!

Oh the Japanese garden brought back so many memories for me! My aunt took me there when I was a teenager visiting her and I fell in love with it! So beautiful. So peaceful. Thank you for bringing back all those memories.

J C YES! My husband and I have been together for 36 years and Adam and Bernardo have helped us re-live some of our more youthful times. We have seen sooooo many similarities between their story and ours. In some ways it’s just plain weird and in other ways I’m happy that neither one of them didn’t have to go through the crap I went through (basically abuse in the name of love - not by my husband - he rescued me). Okan, we are sorry to hear that but you know, my parents told me the same thing. With time, their views about homosexuality changed. I'm not saying that will happen with your family (I hope) but give them some time. Remember, they are only saying that because they were taught that.

Adam and Bernardo, I think this may be the finest video you guys have ever made! It has so many of the elements of great movie making. Beautiful cinematography, great atmospheric settings, Interesting characters, and not one but two great love stories. It’s so nice seeing your parents visiting with you and obviously enjoying themselves. Watching your parents walking arm in arm and being affectionate with each other made me think I was watching Adam and Bernardo 25 years in the future. Dad as Bernardo, quiet pillar of strength and Mom as Adam, the loving nurturer. 🤗🥰

My parents supported me and my husband from day 1... And took bad comments from others away.... They are 80 and 82 now... Best parents EVER... Love them sooo much.. 💞💖
As did our parents. We are 64 and that was truly a blessing for us. It did help that we both had s gay uncle - but nevertheless!!

I love the way Adams parents love not only their son (each other) but also benerdo, love too see love ❤️
Of course, seeing these beautiful men together can be painful to those of us not like them --- but then, better to see them so happy than to not see them, better to see them in a caring family unit than not. They are nice guys, these are nice people. We each have our own particular flavour of pain to deal with and seeing this happiness matched with this flawless music is a true delight. The more I watch, the more I suffer, but that is OK, that is nothing new to be sure.
L&PForever, we hope you never suffer while watching our videos. That's not what we want at all. We suffer as well. We have our insecurities. We have our flaws. The thing that we know we both have is each other. The both of us have been in relationships that ended horribly where we felt like we were nothing. We had to pick the pieces up and to trust and be able to love again.
We don't want to be judged for how we look but we are deeper than our appearance. I hope that makes sense.

I can see the sincerity, kindness, care and genuine affection emanating from each of you to the other in every video (even when you are teasing Bernardo mercilessly!). My intention was to put across in the comments area an aspect of my own experience, the bittersweet mixture of my delight to see you happy and the inundations from my own past and present that arrive simultaneously it seems. Your musical choices are unerringly poignant and apt, devastatingly so sometimes in their emotional impact when combined with the visuals.

The Japanese Gardens were stunning in their beauty and so were the forest and the waterfall and the end of the 4 day visit . I am about to celebrate our 40th anniversary in June 2020, but with the pandemic we may need to celebrate at home and not have a big party as planned.
