Your frugal shopping habits are something I have practiced for years. I learn so much from watching your videos. I recently moved to an area where there are lots of different grocery stores. I am loving going shopping for discounted groceries. I got a #7 pork roast for $4 yesterday. That will go a long way to feed my family of 5. I love watching you. Keep the videos coming please.
I work for a Fred Meyer, and the policy set for making down, is one week before the expiration date, for like deli items (cheese, potato sales, hummus) I believe bakery items are the day before. Grocery items are a week before as well. Not sure for produce. Managers are supposed to have their markdowns done by 9 am. That’s not always possible. Sometimes they just try to get it done before they’re off for the day. Again, doesn’t always happen.
Wow what a haul Christine. WinCo, the reduced stickers, the clearance na'an, keep on touching all the products! You rock! I loved watching this video, made my day so much better.
Oooh i loove the ocedar mop!!! A tip you may not know about. Put a tsp of powdered tide in the bucket then fill halfway with hot water. It cleans your floors great and your house smells like tide.WIN WIN! this was a great haul. Youve got me looking for clearance food all the time!

On a different note, I love watching what sort of deals you get.
The carnation instant breakfast saved my life when I was pregnant with my third child. I couldn't eat much so that stuff got calories in me when I was too sick to eat.

I had a literal dream about shopping at Freddie's, looking for clearance stickers. I kept thinking of new departments to check, rushing over there, & trying to figure out menus on the fly. I absolutely love the way you shop. I have been shopping the same way for the past 30+ years. I have been using the stir fry kits to make homemade soup using rice noodles and whatever protein I have on hand. If nothing else frozen shrimp. I stock up on the salad kits also when they go on sale. Thanks for the share. Stay safe!
I love that mop and bucket! I use them at home and also have a set to clean my ambulance at the volly FD!! Winco is one of my favorite stores along with Fred Meyer. Wish we had them here! Great deals!!! I used to do huge hauls when my oldest 8 (of 9) kids were still home. ❤
I have some coolers. I need to try shopping around out of town instead of just my one local store. If I want a variety of stores I have to drive 1 to 2 hours for it. Small town life! You inspire me as a pregnant mama about to have my first baby & I need to budget my groceries better.
Kerrygold is the absolute best! Try the butter too! Worth every penny & I'm a frugal couponer. I get salad kits at our 99 cent only store for $1.99 regular price. Will try WinCo soon since so Cal case count is looking better. Great haul!
If you’re ever feeling adventurous you can make a video on learning to make naan! I make mine on my cast iron skillet and wet the dough before putting it on to stick, cook 30 seconds, flip skillet over toward flame and cook top for 30 seconds. Then when they’re all cooked I place them back in the skillet with gee and fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) for taste! You can also do garlic or cilantro. Sooooooooo good!!! Store bought naan cannot compare!
CHRISTINE you HAVE to see the clearance stickers at No Frills here in Ontario, Canada. They are super bright neon pink! I can see them from down the aisle! I hunt those stickers like a hawk, especially since at our store there isn't really a clearance "section" for the most part, especially within the freezers and refrigerated items and within the organic section. I got a box of Annies White Cheddar Bunnies for 50% off!
I can't remember if you have mentioned Flash Foods, but I think you'd like it if they do it in your area. Over here we have large grocery stores that do boxes of clearance produce for 5 or 6 bucks.
