Let's go, great to have ya back! I know it may take a bit to get all these characters covered, but please know that I am more than willing to be patient. Appreciate it dude! Actually we just had to find a team member willing to help with recordings because that's super time consuming. Now that's sorted, so we'll be getting these out on the regular from here on out.
"On top of that, King is also absurdly powerful when in Heat." Doujinshi writers: .*taking notes* "Go on..." (On topic, King has always been a favorite of mine, and I wasn't sure how grappling would translate into a quicker, flashier game like T8, so it's great to see King royally aced the transition. Fingers crossed for Armor King to show up some time in the future!)
I remember your King overview from TEKKEN 7 which I still watch by every now and then by the way. The narration, diction, music selection and editing made it extremely fun to watch.
It’s important to note that the Jaguar Step mix-up, outside of the heat smash on block, is fuzzy guardable. Do not over estimate this move, both the king player and the opponent. The low and mids are probably the only reliable options as the throw can be ducked on reaction
I keep seeing this and yes this is true but only if the king player does the throw as soon as he can out of it. If the king player decides to wait or delay the mix up even a little bit it isnt seeable at all and that is where the mix up comes into play at higher levels. Its reminds me when some guys say to just ss and duck azucenas while running move. A simple delay ruins the entire "counterplay" idea and throws it out the window.
@@haris5040 I disagree. While you’re 100% correct for Azucena, I don’t think that logic applies. I’ve consistently ducked the RKO on reaction now after labbing and training myself to recognise the arms. It’s basically just muscle memory, I honestly think people are just too stubborn to lab it and set up practise drills
I was introduced to this channel when a freind showed me the tekken 7 king essentials video when I told him i wanted to play king, the similar script and nods in this video from that one is jovial to hear after such a long time
My only issue with tekken 8 king is they have removed routes from his chain throws. Mexican magma drive 1 is no longer in the game, as well as being able to merge into d/f2+4 chain throws from Mexican magma drive 2
Anger of the Beast! Happy they made king so good in T8. I keep whiffing moves from t7 like d/f+4,34 and the air grab out of atlas hammer. But the new moves are incredible tools.
Heat in characters like King makes me think that Heat should only be accessible through heat engagers. If you land a heat engager, you'll get into heat. My problem with Heat at the moment is that some characters in Heat feel just like having a Rage Drive in Tekken 7, while other characters feel like they become straight up boss characters, and that would be more warranted if Heat was harder to access.
Lows r good against armored moves... Rage arts used to work but he can cancel and block now so it's less effective but maybe if u can bait an attack from jaguar sprint then it might work
Just jab check every single option. King loses his armor when he goes for any move out of Jaguar Sprint. If he decides to armor through your jab, just jab again. It's really that simple of an option selecct.
Hoenstly, seeing tekken 8 king makes me hesitant to wish for Armor King to come to this game. This is probably a pessimistic view, but it feels like King is such a complete character in this game. I wish they namco can out do them if/when AK comes out
In regards to his Heat bonuses, I remember seeing somewhere that King's "fast-input" throws can also be used without the fast inputs. Anyone know if this is true? I don't really have the game yet (saving up cash), so I can't test it.
@@marcusjones9084 throws are not that broken, just more consistent. Catching side stepping opponents is eh, but countering armored moves is great balance
So knowing the greatest Tekken Content Creating Team lables King as "Intermediate" I'll just be waiting for everyone on RUclips to cry about how "Easy" he is....
Were throws that bad previously? Dont know why they had to be buffed. As an average player, i think throws are hard to react to. Low level players probably much more
@@nickochioneantony9288 don't worry about it... He's probably salty about King because he's a pretty hard pub stomper now and think he's a braindead character... but in actuality he may give u some easy wins in low ranks but there's a very low ceiling to that and it's a completely different story when people actually know the matchup against king
Back to daily uploads from tomorrow! 🐯
Was worried something serious happened in your personal life. Glad everything seems to be okay
@@SkarjOS Appreciate the thought. There were some difficulties, but I'm ok :)
We missed you. Was wondering where you went 😢😢🎉
Always glad to have you back guys. ✌️🤘

TEKKEN I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE
They named their own RKO

I just realised this
"Rapid king onslaught"
R.K.O
Yup, I just realized that too... outta nowhere. hehehe

I like that you showed him fighting JACK in their Tekken 7 outfits as a reference to his character episode from Tekken 7.

A fuzzy guard and just reacting to the throw are two different things. But yeah the throw is quite slow, definitely feasible to react to it

Thxs for the video I'm gonna start attending tournaments soon and this was a big help been playing king since tekken 5 👍😎
You did a fine job of covering all the major points of interest. Well done. Good video. Thanks for the info.
Cool king! Most moves in the game
King in heat 🥵🥵🥵
"King is a menace in heat" 😂😂😂😂
Harada really want to see lil majin cook with all them buff. Lol, cant wait to see him back in tourney!
The Return of the King🙏
babe wake up, the King overview just dropped
Big ups! 🫶🏼
I love your tekken characters breakdowns. I think they have the best production value of RUclips. Thank You for Your work!
I was So Waiting for This....
Thanks @That Blasted Salami

Was just thinking of these yesterday, glad to see them back!
Finally new content
Happy you're back Arya.
Crouching Low Kick is still good! On hit you can use it to buffer all of your grabs, and on counterhit you get a free ground throw!
WELCOME BACK!! Hope you guys are doing well ❤
New tech about chain grabs you can hold instead of mashing to break out of it now.
Better watch out when this uh.... Cats... You know.. in heat.
Seriosuly great video man.

ITS FUCKING CALLED RKO IM DYING thats a nice nod to Randy
Hell yeah, there's my big boy!
thank you Salami
If King is already deadly in Tekken 8, I can imagine Armor King being deadlier since the dude's a grappler AND a Mishima.
Looking foward for a Lili break down
I know no one plays Leroy, but please feed the Leroy faithful? 🥺
Finally, the official King guide came out😂
Gigas may not longer be considered coming back his moves are now a legacy 2 fighters use.... Jack 8 and king
Bryan Paul next
Wait! How do I deal with Jaguar sprint in heat? Where is the anti-strat section?
Somebody help me plz 😅

The real Gatekeeper of every tekken game with 8 being no exception
The big cat is going into heat.
@ThatBlastedSalami please make longer videos like t7 overview ❤
I imagine they'll make the long character overview video after all the current characters are done and posted
Is the approach archetype similar or same as the ranged space control archetype
Good ass upload
Btw, ff ☆ 1+2 in heat turn into a ch launcher because it guarantees f2,1
Excellent video
Came for streets of rage, stayed for tekken
Hmmm ... Great content as always but my questionis; should King players wavedash ???
Depends on your playstyle, try it and if you feel good about it do it.
I guess you could say that he’s…All Elite? I’ll show myself out.

Was hoping you'd put the throw break notations in the move displays. Really gotta boot up training mode for that, don't I?
If you really wanna learn you gotta put work yourself. At least we actually get notation on throw breaks in this game compared to 7
Giant Swing: 1
Muscle Buster and Shining Wizard: 1+2
They all look similar though, so very hard to break on reaction.

The BEST CHARACTER Ever in TEKKEN!
Time to lay the SmackDown
When you gonna make an Overview about the best character in Tekken? The Kangaroo.
Or am I just old?
I believe this is the best king of the entire Tekken series. Who agrees?
Yesssssssss
He is completely broken😢
RKO outta nowhere!
King is the King of Kings !!!
King might be a better boxer than Steve with his CH b1,2 (apparently HC) and CH df2,1 totally HC lmao
You can break chainthrows by holding the button instead of mashing now making it much easier to break now.
Hope it helps for anti king

Intermediate, my ASS.
Excellent guide though 👍
I don't know who thought the RKO being unbreakable and a Heat Engager was a good idea. King's hearing voices in his head and I'm sick of it.
I'd be ok with it losing the heat engager property and giving that to the 1 attack during sprint instead
Duck it

It takes time to make quality. It will also behoove you to remember that real people with lives outside of youtube video making are creating these.
