Birds and Crocodiles in GOA, Bird-watching at the Zuari-River

Around 450 different birds can be spotted in GOA throughout the year and there are several good locations to do so. One of them is exploring the banks of the Zuari River by boat.

The Price in 2022 was IRS 2000.00 per person. Payment is made in cash before departure. The trip lasts approx. 3 hours. A bottle of mineral water and a veg sandwich is served. The boat can carry about 10 passengers.
In addition to exotic birds, you will also be able to observe freshwater crocodiles.
We did this tour twice in December 2022, had great fun and can highly recommend it. The tour guides are very experienced. We spotted much more exotic birds as we could possibly catch in reasonable quality with our camera of which a small selection can be seen in this video.
The tours usually take place daily in the dry seaon, i.e. outside the monsoon season (late May to late August) and starts at 07:00 a.m. on the southern bank under the old Zuari-River Bridge.
