I can't recommend F2P or low-spender players pull her to buff Camellya/HRover since Sanhua and Danjin both do an exceptional job at very low cost.
If you like her design and aesthetic, feel free to pull and don't let her performance cloud your judgement!

Sanhua can also be usually used with Carlotta. While using Roccia with Camelya, thats also good.
I'd like to think of Roccia as a future proof for a new havoc main DPS character.

My reason for potentially pulling her isnt so much to replace sanhua, but to free up sanhua for my encore. Sharing a support is really tough when Im trying to clear the tower

freeing up sanhua for encore is good but realistically, if I'm pulling for brant which will have the changli team overtake encore, there is just more value in putting the pulls towards him because you'll have a stronger fusion team.
Could use Danjin though.
or could do room 1/4 with Sanhua for both, and 2/3 with Danjin/Cam and whatever subDps/Encore for 2/3.

@@kharis9120 he heals, amplifies fusion damage and gives a shield. There is nothing else you want on a character. Quickswap with both of them will be interesting.
Definitely pulling, I've noticed that when CC say that a character is not worthy of a pull, that character is indeed worthy of a pull.

Counterpoint. The actual pull value of roccia is actually freeing up sanhua from the camellya team. Once a new basic attack focused unit releases, or for people who mains encore and camellya, the value of getting roccia becomes a lot higher.
This might be another Zhezhi incident where people were skipping and her true value showed right after Carlotta's release

But I thought Haki would be able to use 3 elements, yet his kit only uses Spectro and Electro. His best 4 cost echo is kinda bait as well. I'd rather wait for the last patch of 9.x where we'll have Abby's third evolution as a playable character, as he is one of the only 2 units who'll be able to wield Quintessence.

I appreciate wuwa since I didn’t pull any characters I didn’t actually like and I can still clear the content. I don’t have a Zhezhi because tbh I just didn’t really like the way she played or have much attachment to the character
But my Jinhsi and Carlotta are still totally usable with other characters as buffers
Nobody said she was bad, its just that overall with all considered its not justified to pull for her (unless you whale) because she isnt that much better than sanhua. Thats all, but shes definetly not bad, maybe if you get her at 10 or 20 pity or something like that it would be worth.

@@mites7 yeah, personally I’m not sure if I will pull her for her yet or not because: I want(ed) to colect every character, she is fun to play, rly like her design, my acc is incredibly blessed. But yea not sure… specially cause I want to get phoebe, Brant, and zani. And some weapons probably for some of them. I will try to resist the gacha temptation and wait at least till the ending of her banner so I can decide, with having in mind: the next characters kit along with his/her weapon and also the number of astrite collected
Just a quick math about 70% CR
base = 5%
weapon = 24%
4 cost echo = 22%
5 echoes x 6.3% (lowest roll) = 31.5%
5+24+22+31.5 = 82.5%
without weapon it's a bit harder but just for 10% more from subs or 4-4-1-1-1 as alternative
And yeah I was that person who pulled Zhezhi for Jinhsi when all CC's says it's a 100% skip and now have good sub-dps for two best dps in the game.

As someone who is in the same situation, being a bit of a collector I'm looking to get her. At first didn't care for her much, but as the story progressed just fell more in love with her cuteness. Also I play with Mandarin voice lines.
Now listening to the rundown it somewhat deters me from her and I want to pull for Brant later on for Changli.
You and me both, I don't care much about meta or try hard the end content (I'm satisfied with just 18/24 TOA). I just want to collect the characters and enjoy the story.

Verina s2 gain concerto so fast, I recommend getting her copies if you still have 5 star selector or that 5 star 50 pull guarantee. I’m not sure if you can still get Xianli Yao for free. He’s top 3 best electro dps at least, after Carlotta and Jinshi.
This game is a lot more generous I think. I've played GI about 2 months more than wuwa and I have about the same amount of 5 star characters and weapons in both games but in wuwa I have done about half as many pulls.

One thing pulling Roccia for Camellya does is it frees up Sanhua to be used in another team for ToA, and she's the most op 4 star sub-dps in the game so that alone is pretty good value.
I feel like if you had Camellya though, your account is high key not crutching on Encore anymore, are you?
@@kenchen704 But Camellya is havoc and Encore is fusion so why not use both? Sanhua also doesn't just work with basic attack characters, she works with everybody. She won't be BiS on every team but she'll be good enough.

Who needs a child character in an action game anyway? Even players who are in love with anime boys with girly faces are not so crazy - they at least prefer adults rather than children. I hope Hoyo stops Kuro from making money and bankrupts Wuwa so they can't turn it into another loli game like Genshin.
@@angmar87 it's just a game, no need to take it so seriously. I prefer the adult and teen models myself, but the child characters have no reason to bother me. It's all about the gameplay of a character.

This is exactly why I will never follow meta or "value" because who even cares in the end? My 2-3 extra stars in a high end game mode that always changes its buff to cater to the newest character/element/gimmick combo? Some extra points in the whale-focused combat events for barely 1-2 extra pulls? Let's be serious...
If I save up and grind, be it either in game as f2p or splurge as a spender, it will be for characters I like.
"yeah but the free char does their job better", and so what if I don't like that character? Going for meta is such a soulless and unfun way to play IMO.

@@Honed- Changli’s weapon is very annoying to use tbh. Even on Changli, who has 2 E uses & then deals res skill damage. You have to manage the uptime of the stacks or miss out on the decent buff it provides.

If Kuro comes out with Havoc only support it's going to heavily buff the Roccia's dmg and the difference bettween the Rocc and Sanwha will be substantial. Though I agree that F2P or low spenders should probably not pick up Roccia for Meta reasons, I do see a future where Sanwha team is going to get substantially out damaged by the Rocc team
Not really Sanhua has higher BA damage buff capability than Roccia so she is pretty universal in terms of elements and her field time is basically 5 to 6 seconds. Meanwhile Roccia is somewhat good for Nuke Havoc DPS that have little AoE on their kit since her grouping is OP af.
@@HazardTone If future support units introduce element-specific buffs-which seems highly likely (I won’t delve into specifics as it ties into leaked content)-Roccia will be able to fully benefit from all of those buffs, whereas Sanwha, being Glacio, would receive no such benefit.
This is worth noting because Roccia’s damage output is already quite strong, and as a Havoc unit, she would further amplify team performance. While the current damage difference between a Sanwha + Cam team and a Roccia + Cam team is around 20-25% per rotation, it’s almost certain that the gap will widen significantly in the future.

I definitely see Roccia will fit more in the future with another Havoc DPS that Kuro could releases one day, this situation is the same Zhezhi faced back in 1.2 she was only niche with Jinshi and then 2.0 drops and guess what???..... Kuro cooked Carlotta and vualaaaa Zhezhi situation changed by a lot, this is gonna repeat with Roccia 100% im sure!
Roccia is already BiS for Camellya; I don't see them adding another havoc/basic attack focused character anytime soon since Camellya fits the bill perfectly.
This. How many people skipped Zhezhi and ended up regretting it later? I know Sanhua is great but I feel like she gets glazed a little too much. At the end of the day, she's still a 4 star. Roccia is part of the premium team and I have no doubt she will be so much better for Camellya.

Seems pretty balanced, which is good news for the game. They seem to be taking a similar approach to a lot of Genshin characters, where in order to min max a meta team, a limited 5* might be a very slight upgrade to a S6 4* but not so much that it obliterates the previous ceiling of that team. If you like her you'll be happy with her performance, if not you won't be missing out too much.
I still remember when zheshi getting trash out like this as well,some people really just want to switch to their main dps as fast as possible and just ignoring "subDPS" damage potential

I think most of the people talking bad about Roccia will be crying in some weeks when she gets totally necessary and useful, or when the next Havoc DPS release. Same thing as Zhezhi.
I heard the same thing during zhezhi first release . "She is useless i can use yuanwu and taoqi.
Now everyone pulled her.
We will have another havoc dps and also other basic DMG dealers so you can not evaluate anything now.
She is the second basic dmg buffer in the game and we already have encore that needs sanhua.
the situation is very different. Zhezhi in first place is going with Jinhsi, T0 dps and there was no Glacio Res dmg dealer back then. Zhezhi now support 2 tier 0 unit. Roccia in other hands, Camelya is not as good as Jinhsi or Carlotta. And Kuro not gonna make a Havoc Basic dps soon. It gonna powercreep Camellya. Think carefully before making any comparisons bro

Camellya is not as good as Jinhsi or Carlotta with single target content like this center TOA but when you need AOE dmg Roccia + Camellya still have a big advantage and can clear much faster than both due to cc kit and outro.
Camellya is much better for exploration which is 90% of gameplay and Roccia will be much better than Sanhua for exploration.
You dont even need Carlotta if you have Jinshi since both use the same support and are skill dmg focused with a small area dmg. I have more reasons to get Roccia or Brant than Carlotta since they are new types of supports.

Brant only fully buffs Changli which is not a "tier 0 dps" so in this case he is useless with Jinhsi and Carlotta and also Encore?
Well if you limit your teams to these full buffs them you are playing the wrong game just play what you like even free chars can clear TOA.

oh ill 100% go for her, no just cuz i like her and her gameplay felt very nice, but also because her utility is worth so much to me. I love theory crafting, but i found that my in game experience always varied so much from it's theoretical potential that i started to adjust, and having her will give me a lot more room for non optimal gameplay, which then tends to lead to my personal performance improving, since i am under less stress.
I think adding grouping to Camellya is the main source of her value. Obviously moot in boss only tower floors, but in the ones with a trash phase it could be a big time saver if you manage to dps all the trash at once vs. in 2 or 3 groups.
I'm a newcomer to the game, been playing for only six weeks. Thanks for this piece of advice. I'll save my astrites for Jinhsi. I've got plenty of 4-star supports, I just need more DPS.

"Slightly better sanhua" when sanhua is easily a t0 unit actually means she's insane. Especially freeing up sanhua to be used in other teams I think she's a must pull for camellya/hrover players personally Especially if you use both or encore in toa.

If you look past Camellia and Roccia only as a support, especially for those who we know will S6 her which turns her into a main DPS, shes a character that will simply add more variety to the nowand possibly the future.
We see how that turned out with Zhezhi, right? First yall call her balls and a waste of pulls, now its omg get her cuz of Carlotta, and that just made people HAVE to pull on both characters of the banner anyway unless they just cant. 1.2 getters just had Carlotta to pull, and Roccia may very well end up a repeat of that.
Sanhua only buffs basic attacks. At 6/6 she also applies a buff on the incoming resonator for 20%. As far as I can tell Roccia is a better character.
1) she can group enemies so open world clears are faster.
2) she buffs the incoming resonators Havoc damage by 20% and basic attacks buffed by 25%.
3) Roccia’s ult also buffs all resonators in the team by (depending on how you build her) 200 flat I believe for 30 seconds.

yeah we'll need to see how good she is when released, she is the best support for sanhua havoc rover and probably for phrolova and others that may come, I think ppl will regret not pulling for her as happened with Zhezhi

And if that was the case Sanhua would be still be good for these Character. New havoc hyper carry will probably focus on Heavy attack or Liberation dmg. So they will probable get a better Sub-dps than Roccia.

@@Rek1emMScar yeah sanhua is doing fine but the point is, sanhua is restricted to basic attack teams and, as far as I can tell, that’s just 2-3 characters. Rover, cam and encore. So saying it’s no reason to roll for her is a bit ignorant, especially because she maybe better off long term.

If we look at the Lorelei echo it looks like we have a havoc liberation scaler on the way who may be the final piece of the havoc team. I don’t think you’re wrong but we don’t have the full picture yet.
Basically the new DanJin im picking her cause while i like danjin not having HP drain will be great for my Rover buffer

Well Brant is specifically designed for Changli to change her Sub DPS status to Main DPS. And bro doesn't even need that much investment since bro scales on ER.
Both are Sub-DPS the moment a better Hyper carry appears for any of the two.. will make the other useless in the team.

I get what you're saying, but here's the thing. Sanhua taught me on how to do very short micro naps, of around 5 seconds . Every time I switch into her, I go to sleep, because she's so god damn boring.
So only this time...damn the meta. Plus, I think Roccia's grouping and AoE will come in handy in some game modes..
Roccia is definitely BiS for Camellya, but you’re right that Sanhua is already crushing content on that team. Plus we have her free skin coming soon and it looks amazing. I’m going to use the next couple banners to restock for Zani and Cartethyia.
Divinator Bob would probably pull Roccia/Brant, but I’m greedy and stupid because I’d rather pull the units I like. Thankfully Kuro handles powercreep well and knows how to design and balance new bosses. It’s very refreshing after playing Hoyo games in the past. If it ever gets to a point where I can’t clear with Cam/Sanhua, Yao/Yinlin, Carlotta/Zhezhi, Changli/Jinhsi, and Sk/Verina…I’ll eat my words. Until then, I’m just going to have fun.
i think it was worth mentioning that roccia is also more specialized, if a new basic attack based character comes out that isnt havoc sanhua will be strictly better than roccia.
i like roccia as a character but when characters like brant, poebe, zani coming up and we are due for a shorekeeper rerun its hard to justify pulling for her.

But honestly guys? She's not bad, not even a bit. It's not because we have Sanhua that Roccia isn't good.
She deals WAY more damage than Sanhua, she groups enemies easily (the only character to do that so far aside Aero characters), she buffs EVERYONE in 200 ATK, not just Havoc. Actually she's a good support for everyone, but a must-have support for every future Havoc, not just basic attack ones, even more at her S2.

You forgot that the basic attack buff from Roccia gets increased by the percentage of other buffs, so it ends up being higher than 200 in total.
Isn't her 200atk better than 20% atk?
The % dmg buff when you receive another one is additive, while the 200 atk gets multiplied for each Buff you get... It's much better...
yeah but you need to also consider getting to 70% crit rate with her (which could be tough but not impossible) to get the full 200 atk
Uhh, if you're not really that strict with her dmg you can just go 44111 even with the new set
@azharhakim1930 70%crit rate is really easy to be fair... You need 4 crit rate rolls, not even big ones.
@davidcoso1179 am I missing something? Base is 5%, Weapon is 24.3% and assuming you go for a crit damage echo, then you'd need at least 8.2% crit on all 5 pieces to reach the 70%. I guess you can use a crit chance echo as well, but you'd be missing so much damage.

Saintotas is a massive hypocrite, Roccia fills the buffer role for Camellya exactly how Zhezhi buffer role is for Carlotta so if you apply double standards to certain characters then you're just lying to the viewer. Roccia at resonance chain 2 with the midnight veil set increases havoc dmg by 75%, basic attack dmg by 25%, and atk dmg by 200 for the team/incoming resonator(just to remind people havoc dmg buff increases overall dmg more so than atk dmg buff). The facts are that Roccia is thee best buffer character for Camellya but is designed well enough to use her as a main unit and not be relegated as only an exclusive unit just for Camellya.
Zhezhi’s buffs are good but the reason she’s so valuable is for her ult
That and the fact that while a havoc dmg buff is great there are only 2 havoc dps units in the game and only one that also revolves around using basic attacks. Only Camellya is going to get full value out of Roccia and she’s not THAT big of an upgrade over Sanhua. Zhezhi’s ult is always going to be super strong in the sup dps slot even if her glacio/skill buff don’t go anywhere
@@xviolaa Short answer: Roccia is a very good character to have as a hybrid havoc dps/buffer character. She's not a trash character that will brick you're account and if you want to pull for her you won't be disappointed.
Long answer: My point is that you can't say one character is a must have and the other is trashiest character in the game since they provide equal contribution as a buffer. Sanhua provides 20% atk and 38% basic atk but 75% havoc dmg is significantly higher than both Sanhua buffs combined. Sanhua basic atk buff becomes increasingly irrelevant with each Camellya resonance chain upgrade so Roccia having a 25% basic atk buff is just fine.

So first you praise WuWa for not having a lot of power creep and now you complain that a new character isn't good enough? I honestly prefer having all character remaining somewhere around the same base line. I'm not convinced that you must have power creep to sell characters. Especially considering that most people couldn't care less about meta. On top of that, whales tend to be ultra casual and they are the biggest spenders. Is power creep even necessary at all? I don't think it is.

How about Roccia's potential in future teams? For example, Zhezhi's discussion at the time was kinda similar because she was only totally useful with Jinshi. We know Roccia buffs basic atk damage, we don't know is she will be more important at future

Monthly $5 gets you the most out of your money. $10 monthly pass gets you so much resources like coins, exp, tuners, etc, I recommend it.
Nah prioritize Shorekeeper over Zhezhi Carlotta can do her own thing if you have Lumi or if you have a Changli
If you buy both, you'll spend around 12 euro per month on average. I do that (played since the start of the game) and i have every 5* resonator and some of their weapons, so i recommend it, you'll basically have enough to pull for all future characters, unless you want to go with multiple copies, but that's on you then.

I kinda disagree that it's just "13% bonus". Youre freeing Sanhua for another team. You're getting grouping that will LIKELY be useful in the future. Youre getting a havoc support and grouper that will LIKELY sinergize with future characters better than Sanhua does. Not to say not everyone has S6 Sanhua or Camellyas weapon. And if you Camellya main you probably want her best team anyway even if it's not a big upgrade
Just a guess for future updates considering the Ideal outro combination (Carlotta-Zhezhi) and now (Camellya-Roccia).
The New Combat Mechanic such as "Dream-Link" in the past which combines the three Ults of all characters. There is a possibility that this feature will be available again in the future but the condition must be teams with the same elements or "Mono-Element"-team.
So with mutually beneficial DPS-Subdps the team above, we just have to wait for the future support/healer characters to be released for each element to perfect the entire team for new "Dream-link" feature.
That not going to happens unless we get full support for every element and right now there are only two element with Support; Spectro verina/shorekeeper and Glacio Baizhi.
So seriously not going to happens. Specially with character like Jinhsi literally asking for the contrary.

View the Spectro "Frazzle" effect for Rover, Phoebe and new sonata set update. I think each mono element combo will be given a special kind of DoT or resistance debuffer advantage.
Like for example :
Glacio - Shivering/Freezing effect
Havoc - Corruption/Rot effect
Fusion - Burnt effect
Electro - Corrosive effect
Aero - Erosion effect

@@knocks325 This is not a "totally" baseless assumption. Remember this game is based on the theory of "Wave". In wave theory there are things called transverse and longitudinal waves. Which is based on waves whose direction is perpendicular and parallel to their propagation.
If we analogize each element in the game as a form of wave with various frequencies, and the "Resonator" as the medium. Then we connect it with the wave theory above about "longitudinal" & "transversal", So there will be 2 possibilities (parallel and perpendicular) which can be interpreted as effects with the same elements and elements which can change direction and shape as form of Harmony within that frequencies.

Yeah I will continue to use Sanhua because I prefer her looks, especially with the upcoming skin. Meta wise also because my shorekeeper is S6, so being able to activate her enhanced intro is crucial.

Personally, I really appreciate a roster that has some great pulls and some totally fine but also skippable pulls. I am not gonna spend to get every 5 star character. It’s nice to be able to save between the characters you want and even though I’m already back up to 100+ pulls saved up, I spent everything for Carlotta and Zhezhi + both of their weapons. I need to be able to save so I can guarantee Brant + his weapon and maybe even a sequence node for him
I appreciate that this video was made so i know i shouldnt feel pressured into pulling this character and can instead save those asterites for the Changli rerun instead.
What I do need is another basic attack buffer. There's only one Sanhua for so many of my teams, I'll free her by sticking Roccia to Camellya...
But secretly I want to actually main Roccia, she's cool and I wouldn't mind if she needs 30 minutes on field
Yesterday i decided pulling just to get Sanhua S6, she was S5 before that and luckily i got her alongside 3 other 4 star characters at one 10 pull. She is one of my favourite 4 star characters. I really enjoy her playstyle and her fast swap/ charge attack mechanics. Roccia was already on my skip list and hearing you say that she is not as that better as Sanhua is amazing news for me. There's one main meta selling point for Roccia: If if you enjoy both Encore and Camellya, but you don't have or don't want to use Changli with Encore, Roccia frees Sanhua for Encore to use.
Otherwise, no, Roccia is not in any way, shape or form necessary. Also do keep in mind that Changli is overall more flexible, considering that she can also be used by Calcharo and Xiangli Yao as well, to name a few, and that her free / standard alternative isn't a 4 star like Taoqi, Lumi and Sanhua, but another 5 star, Jianxin.
If I can't get Zhezhi during the first phase I plan to pull for Roccia since I love her gameplay and this could allow my Sanhua a break from so many team comps I have. Especially my day 1 Encore team who I always use cause I love Encore's gameplay.
Besides I think Roccia's grouping is perfect cause I have Camellya and I always have the problem of hitting multiple targets when battling as in her red hair state she can't maneuver as well, increasing my hit chances. So to me personally Roccia provides a great supporter, not just her buffs, but her grouping as well.
Meta wise I believe she can only excel as a support in only a Camellya team. (I know Sanhua is OP, i have her at C6, level 90, but i keep getting hit cause there is no way to group multiple enemies).
On a personal note, just pull for what you want, cause one thing Kuro does amazing in, is not allowing powercreep.

The skill of Roccia's weapon is so easy to proc and any future Heavy Atk Gauntlets will always benefit from it.
I feel like her weapon being meh and her not being an upgrade but just an option that can free up a unit for another team is a good thing for the game's balance and future. I am personally not pulling but she might make more sense in the future when we get more basic atk dps units to use Sanhua instead
I’m pulling her more because she’s fun rather than meta. I know Sanhua’s great, but I don’t like running her because she’s so boring to me. I like the more difficult rotations and field time for my teams. I can’t wait for Brant and Changli team so I can break my fingers playing 😂

10:32 If you're talking in terms of sheer numbers, yes. Roccia does buff better due to the havok bonuses, but don't go forgetting what the S in DPS stands for. Camellya is far and away the most selfish hyper carry in the game, and second only to Jane Doe from ZZZ in all of gotcha gaming in sheer field time being used. Every second she's not on the field it's another drop off in that damage, and unless you manage to keep Roccia's field time at less than 8 seconds, that +13% will actually start to become negative.
That said, I think she's going to be a huge boon to Havok Rover. Not as a cope unit, but as a genuinely good synergistic complement to her kit. Her on field time is not nearly as high as Camellya's, she isn't risky like Danjin and neither need Camellya's massive wind up time. Roccia just need concerto and Havok Rover turns on her beast mode with a single button press.... well 2 if you're doing a proper rotation to get the duel scythes.
Good that you mentioned it it the end because that was exactly what i was planning, waiting to see phoebe's kit... though i was also considering roccia as youhu is on her banner and it's the only 4 star I'm missing and i love the concept of an rng playstyke
