@@AspectLegend1 Actually a mix of a CRX and a Drag Turbo Integra. Sad that a lot of the sounds in these movies are edited. Even the Skyline uses an RB30 instead of an RB26 for some scenes

" The Blue and White Striped CRX SI with the Full Roll Cage in it. Not pin point sure ,but I think it was built as a Full on Proper Racecar Build for one of the Big magazines at the time. There's few pics online of it with its then owner and a gorgeous Asian Model. Sick Little Machine, all the same. THIS is Top Tier Honda sound at its PEAK. And for an entire generation, people have chased after it to get their own vehicles to make that specific noise. It's what every SI badged, 4 cylinder Honda Should be able to sound like. The specific way they built the Eclipse may be a little Dated looking by today's standard to some. I love it, personally from a place in my heart that is rooted as the 10 year old kid who saw it New in 2001. But one can't argue that the Eclipse wasn't ACCURATE to the Time Period of tuner culture . To the 90's and Early 00's tuner culture ,the first Two films in particular are an excellent look into what was Happening in car culture on the racing and showcase car scene in the world at the time . Some people go for power , some go for a certain style or aesthetic. The First movie gave you the sense that you could realistically maybe achieve both and land on a plane of nice evened out ground between The two.
Some of the sounds they added in are a Integra GSR turbo. You can hear it briefly when he hits redline. 'WATATATATATA' ... Saw it on some behind the scenes video years ago

jason poston I could be wrong but I think I read somewhere that it was a turbo 420a Eclipse so it would be a little more raspy then the 4G63T due to being NA from the factory the timing is usually advanced compared to a boosted engine.
The first movie was all about the cars and sweet sounds. After that it was like they just turned everything down/spent no time and choke it with junk music. Same on need for speed games. Underground 2 had the best noises. Then it went away.

This wasn’t an actual GSX. It didn’t make 240hp, didn’t have a turbo, nor did it have a 4g63 in it like the Turbo eclipses do. It had a 2.0L DOHC with a few mods and stock 5 speed transmission
