When a apartment complex jack their prices up, It's usually sign that they're in huge debt and will get bought out soon. So they try push yearly leases to make off with as much money possible and collect royalties.

Thanks so much! Phoenix is off the chain with those housing prices. Very standard plain one bedroom and its more expensive than the price I paid for my 800+ square ft when I left in 2018. I’m so frustrated apartment hunting.

    • @Sunsn7
      @Sunsn7 3 года назад +2

Yes apartment hunting is definitely frustrating. Looking like I'm going to have to pay at least $1100 a month for a decent, clean apartment without pests, and a halfway decent neighborhood. My mortgage on a nice 4 br home is less! Wife wants a divorce so back to the frustration of apartment hunting. We poor people are being squeezed for every last dollar. But if you have big bucks, you can find big value for wha you pay for. Unfortunately that's just life.

  • @SanchoGracie

Five years ago that place would have likely been in the $750-$850 range. Crazy. But here in Prescott a crappy, old, 1 bd, 1ba apartment, no laundry runs $1200 a month. Finding something with vacancy is a whole other story from what I hear.

It’s a lot for the small space, but what you’re paying for is location. The closer you are to downtown, the higher things are going to be. Also if you pin or near the historic district. There are some reasonably price 55 plus complexes but they’re rarely vacancies. People like staying there. Another thing is housing prices are now rising in Phoenix. A lot of complexes remodel then crank up the price because they know folks who are moving here who are priced out in other states( yeah, you California), relocate here and it’s cheaper for them. Unfortunately for locals, it’s sort of prices us out. I’ve lived here since 1970 and Phoenix has really exploded especially in the last just 5 years! Downtown is condo crazy with some studios in the $900’s.

I live just east of that area off 16th St and Thomas. I just signed a lease for a 1 bed/1 bath 613 sq ft apartment for $900 a month. Right next to the 51 and the 202/10 which is perfect because I work in Avondale but spend a lot of time in Tempe. I've been at this complex since last year in a smaller 1 bedroom, that feels more like a studio, that I pay roughly $850 but the unit I just singed on is about 200 sq feet bigger which I think is more than worth the extra $50 a month. The complex is called "Omnia on Thomas" if you want to check it out. It's been pretty quiet here for the most part. Can't really recall any incidents.

Hey, Big Super. Hmm...interesting, interesting. I'm not feeling having my bedroom right next to my front door, but it's not bad if you're new in Phoenix and need a place to live while you get things going. Of course I don't know the area or anything. Thanks for sharing.

Nice apartment, however thats actually a 700 dollars per month unit Arizona's housing rental market is out of control with these severely inflated prices.

Typical cheap apartment upgrades... Subway tile backsplash in the kitchen, upgrade a few ceiling fans, paint the walls grey, now charge 1400 a month 🤦🏿‍♂️

It’s nice but is there not a closet in the bedroom. Where the washer and dryer is is a laundry room.

This apt is on Devonshire and 9th street not near 7th ave and Osborn

I thought they looked familiar, I've looked those specific ones up before. That's a couple miles from 7th ave & Osborn, still central Phoenix but not really the same neighborhood.

For the amount that rent is in Arizona for apartments utilities should be included.

That one bedroom apt showed very well but it was a model and the last two times I rented based on the beautiful
model I was so broken why because both were roach infested and was not
even 50 per cent as nice as the model,
before you actually sign a lease insist on
    seeing the actual unit.
