The sarabanda is almost unbearably beautiful! Kudos to the recorder player! She deserves all the praise, but we must also congratulate both the violoncello player and the harpsichordist! They did so good and got so many things right! A top notch performance overall! Greetings from Brazil!
Wonderful performance - very nice to hear Sieber being discovered by recorder players. I'm sure I was the first recorder player in the US to perform Sieber some 40 years ago. Nobody had ever heard of these pieces. Congratulations on your performance.
That’s amazing that you performed this repertoire 40 years ago! This music is completely new to me, and it has been a wonderful discovery; I wonder why more recorder players aren’t performing these sonatas? Btw, do you happen to know of other neglected composers who wrote for the recorder that are worth checking out? Cheers, Wilson
@@wapolo1974 hmmm - I'd have to think about that. I think the Sieber Sonatas are probably a best kept secret. I don't think many recorder players have looked into all the Sammartini Sonatas.
I normally hate the recorder (I tend to fond something a bit ... well ... ridiculous. Sorry), but this has made me change my mind. Stunning playing !!!!!! And the ornamentation is in SUCH exquisite taste (there's not A single fault in them). Well done !!! I'm a fan.
I thought I should point out that this is not in fact Sieber's Sonata No.8 - it's his No.2. This is very likely because the referenced manuscript for this is the Amsterdam edition which includes 12 sonatas, firstly 6 by Galliard and then 6 by Sieber, but they are numbered through the manuscript 1 - 12 and so it seems that it is sonata No.8, when it is, in fact, No.2
What beautifull sound! It's a gift receive this music. Amazing. Thanks to open this day with a nice flute, cello and harpsichord. Great! I am from Brazil ☛ I have one asking: is this a alto recorder? Is that A 415 Hz ?? Where can I found oneto buy? Can you inform who is the manufactured? Thanks one more.

Bravissime! Suono di flauto molto bello! Brava Hyowon Lee!
maestras..............increible.
숨겨진 보석같은 곡에 앙상블도 좋고 고결한 톤, 프레이징... 감동적인 연줍니다.
감사합니다 🙏❤

Many thanks!!! The recorder maker is Christoph Trescher from Switzerland :)
通奏低音がリードした方が聴きやすいのですが!ソロがリードして低音が伴奏してる様に聴こえる。曲は初めてです良い曲で、演奏も素晴らしい‼️
Welches Fabrikat ist diese Blockflöte. Schön musiziert. Wunderbar in Tempo und Intonation.
😍😍😍😍
Very nice, thank you! The recorder sounds terrific as well, who made it?
Christoph Trescher from Switzerland :)
