Even for you, this is an above-average video. Great points about what the impact of the Packers game _should_ be. But I don't think they'll be long-term. I think that they lack enough team unity & they're too young to retain any long-term effects. But speaking of those, how much did McDermott screw the Bills? He *actively undermines* team unity, treats his own coaches & players with suspicion making everyone uneasy, then there are the in-game decisions that lose them games in 13 seconds. Or when he calls high-2 cover shell & lets Hurts beat them in OT. Or takes over play-calling in the playoffs against Cincy *All Game!* & yet perhaps the worst thing is none of those. He gets them into an earlier time zone less than 48 hours in advance & not only loses that game but key players to season-ending injury only because he *forced them to play* while sleep-deprived. "Could any of those key players have helped them beat the Chiefs?" Yes. Yes they could have. Now due to age & free agency the division belongs to the Dolphins. As for the comments about the Lions, they've played like this All Year. _No one_ on this team plays a full game except Aiden Hutchinson. It *might be* the Ben Johnson offense, scheming everything down to the last detail with a priority on mixing everything up, but they have more convincing losses than wins because as you noticed, they didn't put the game away. That's either not gonna fly against the 49ers, or Shanahan will *out-do* them in this as that's usually his schtick, & subconsciously he may want to one-up them. Either way I am sick and tired of the style over substance Lions & want this exaggerated "they earned it" narrative done with. If only they'd gotten San-Fran last week & the Packers beat the Bucs. Sigh. Will Lamar _ever_ live down that in-game dump footage?
What makes the heartbreak even worse is that this was arguably the best chance that the Bills had; the Chiefs were mortal and not as strong as they usually looked, yet even then, the Football Gods decided to throw a spanner in the works and just wreck the Bills' ambitions right in its' tracks with a Wide Right Kick, an INT, and a few bad throws. And with how many players are free agents this off-season, things ain't lookin' all that great for the Bills. Always the Bridesmaids, never the Bride.
Allen is better than Mahomes right now. Hard to win when your team let's you down. I'd expect them to get over hump next year. They're my afc superbowl pick right now. Ravens are better than chiefs. 49ers are better than lions. Lions ravens sb? As a niners fan I hope not. But sometimes nfl feels like a storyline. And det seems to be the story book the nfl likes to revel in. I don't know. But ravens 49ers should win based on skill and defenses. I'd be really surprised if Kansas city wins this week
@@kenw2225 mahomes is much better at situational football and subtleties of reading the field. Allen shouldn't have been heaving it to the end zone with 2 minutes left on the clock. Likewise the pass he got hit on, Mahomes or Stafford probably make that. Allen has improved a lot in that aspect. He was taking what the defense gave him most the night, I think his instincts kicked in and he slipped at the end of the game.
@@tylerd1297really, it was the play calling. The OC was so scared of Allen screwing it up with hero ball, they made him throw 16 passes behind the los. That's insane. I mean, look at the last drive, almost an int, and a fumble that the chiefs should have picked up. That was Allen playing hero.
They didn't get Singletary in free agency because they thought Stroud was going to turn the franchise around and vault them into the playoffs. They got him because that's who they could get. He had an okay year and couldn't run against the Ravens. Shocker.
Yeah, Tubfrog might have leaned a bit too much into the hot take hyperbole on this one. Singletary is talented, just not a feature back. I actually get annoyed when decent players are called "talentless". If you can make an NFL roster, you have talent. (It just might not look as amazing against the best defenses in the world)
The Texans constantly lean on the run so that CJ Stroud is able to make his huge passes. By forcing the defenders to stay up close and prepare for the possibility of a run, they are able have more open spots downfield when it matters. That's why even though the Texans have a very average receiving core, there were so many plays this season when receivers were just wide open way downfield. That's the strategy that got them all the way to the divisional round in year one of a rebuild. I can't really complain that it didn't work against the best remaining defense in the league, because they didn't really have another option with the O-Lines inability to protect the pocket.
@@AdamRiley20 Tank Dell was missing half the season and Nico Collins has had only one season with more than 500 yds. I believe with the experience from last season the Texans receiving core will be above average, but last year you could not call them that.
5:19 I'm not going bro, that was a first down and offsides on SF. A few of their helmets were passed the line of scrimmage. The ball was poorly spotted too. It should've been 4th and inches prior to the play even began.
As a Texans fan, I strongly disagree that the Ravens made Stroud look like he didn’t know what he was doing. Given the constant pressure he was under, stroud never threw an interception or took even took a sack. He even made a few impressive throws on third and long after the early down runs stalled and the Texans were behind the sticks. Even after the loss I am as high on Stroud and this team as ever!
