Believe it or not, by all accounts Burt Reynolds was genuinely enthusiastic about being there. Apparently he was a fan of NWA Hollywood back in the day and was particularly interested in meeting "Classy" Freddie Blassie (who was a big draw for NWA Hollywood in the 60's).
I's weird seeing Earthquake doing his thing only 4 years before his 'Golga' gimmick. I always thought more time had passed.

The Tunney's had been partners of Vince "Sr."...I think legally Jack was the "promoter" when WWE ran events in Canada.

Reynolds was an alcholic while he was working on Evening shade.
He was also addicted to pain medication and sleeping pills from the mid 80's onwards. He was prescribed pain pills for a major facial injury he suffered on the set of City Heat in 1984 and quickly developed an addiction. Ironically, Shawn Michaels, as we all know, was popping pills around that time too.
