With lubing your chain, and just to add to what you said, if you're unsure how much to use it's better to use more than you need, and wipe off the excess. If you don't use enough, you can risk chain failure, and at speed that will hurt. In time you'll get to know how much you need, and won't even need to remove any excess. Also, is that an XW/XY I spotted hiding under the cover next to your bench?
@@sergeantwombat That would be cool to see, especially being in the family from new. I'm not sure where in Vic you are, but when it comes to the engine, I'd suggest Dandy Engines in Carrum Downs. They've built everything from restored factory engines, to two 6 second, 200MPH XW's, one of which is still street registered.
@@sergeantwombat that's even rarer. I don't remember the last time, other than a Barra turbo conversion, that I've seen an original 6 pot XY here in Sydney, and I've been a volunteer at Sydney Dragway for the last 10.5 years. It's good that it gets started regularly too. Means it can't be too unhealthy.

Certainly is an XY, Dad's family bought it new and it now is my fathers. The Resto is planned to start sometime next year! I may have to film parts
