It's common to overlook and even excuse certain behavior when the different episodes are spread out over time. But the documentary puts all the info in one package right in your face so it's harder to overlook or excuse. That's why a lot of people now can finally come to the conclusion that R Kelly is indeed a monster.

I did my due diligence and even in that shit could have still gone wrong. Parents have to make tough life altering decisions for their kids daily. Would I let mine go to r kelly HELL NO!!!!! I don't condone anything R. Kelly did to all of those women, I believe he is guilty, I believe their stories (for the most part) and I believe he had and still has a serious problem. I believe Aaliyah's mother is in denial and has severe guilt about the part she and her family played in her daughter's involvement with him (her negligence and greed, like a lot of the parents). I grew up on and still enjoy his music but I don't agree with the actions of the person. With that being said, the documentary also shed light on his upbringing and what probably led to his future behavior as an adult...being sexually assaulted as a child, exposed to sex at an early age, being somewhat illiterate, being poor and in a broken home. None of that absolves him but it gives context. Some people overcome their circumstances and some don't. All he had was music, if you really think about it, but he has obviously destroyed a lot of lives at least partly due to his reaction to his upbringing and early experiences along with enablers. I feel that the older women in the documentary knew better, they'd heard the stories and knew of the sex tape before hand and still wanted to be with a star and to possibly become one themselves. Another thing, the media and people in general try to differentiate and separate the allegations of abuse endured by the "regular" girls and his relationship with Aaliyah. Meaning, we don't assume or want to phatom that she was treated the same way he treated all the other girls. But, he married his wife and we hear how she was treated, some things she still doesn't want to speak of...so you can safely assume he treated Aaliyah the same as the others, which is extremely sad (because we all feel like we knew and loved her, she was a beautiful and perceived as an innocent little girl) but it's just a sad situation overall for all of them. Aaliyah wasn't the first young girl that he dealt with. Also, Sparkle didn't say anything about her dealings witb him but we can assume she messed with him as well and knew what he was about yet she introduced her young niece to him anyway. There were a lot of greedy people involved in this which explains why no one spoke up earlier...they took the money instead...including Aaliyah's people. Overall I'm sure he knows what he has done is wrong, but like most men in power, he felt untouchable and above the law. He took advantage of young girls, their family's trust and their greed. Through his music, he told all of us what he wad doing, we just didn't want to connect the dots. There are a lot of people that are at fault here. A lot of people pursued money over what they thought was right, which played right into R. Kelly's hand.

I couldn’t be with her the entire time and Being premiere player is her dream. I had to make a decision to ignore her dream because of my fear or to let her go. Let me tell you it wasn’t an easy decision. I let her go. I requested documentation for background checks and I told the chaperones if one call is missed I calling the cops for a wellness check. I did my due diligence and even in that shit could have still gone wrong. Parents have to make tough life altering decisions for their kids daily. Would I let mine go to r kelly HELL NO!!!!! But looking at these comments I see these parents aren’t alone thinking they were crazy rumors or thinking the were trying to bring a black man down.

I don't condone anything R. Kelly did to all of those women, I believe he is guilty, I believe their stories (for the most part) and I believe he had and still has a serious problem. I believe Aaliyah's mother is in denial and has severe guilt about the part she and her family played in her daughter's involvement with him (her negligence and greed, like a lot of the parents). I grew up on and still enjoy his music but I don't agree with the actions of the person. With that being said, the documentary also shed light on his upbringing and what probably led to his future behavior as an adult...being sexually assaulted as a child, exposed to sex at an early age, being somewhat illiterate, being poor and in a broken home. None of that absolves him but it gives context. Some people overcome their circumstances and some don't. All he had was music, if you really think about it, but he has obviously destroyed a lot of lives at least partly due to his reaction to his upbringing and early experiences along with enablers. I feel that the older women in the documentary knew better, they'd heard the stories and knew of the sex tape before hand and still wanted to be with a star and to possibly become one themselves. Another thing, the media and people in general try to differentiate and separate the allegations of abuse endured by the "regular" girls and his relationship with Aaliyah. Meaning, we don't assume or want to phatom that she was treated the same way he treated all the other girls. But, he married his wife and we hear how she was treated, some things she still doesn't want to speak of...so you can safely assume he treated Aaliyah the same as the others, which is extremely sad (because we all feel like we knew and loved her, she was a beautiful and perceived as an innocent little girl) but it's just a sad situation overall for all of them. Aaliyah wasn't the first young girl that he dealt with. Also, Sparkle didn't say anything about her dealings witb him but we can assume she messed with him as well and knew what he was about yet she introduced her young niece to him anyway. There were a lot of greedy people involved in this which explains why no one spoke up earlier...they took the money instead...including Aaliyah's people. Overall I'm sure he knows what he has done is wrong, but like most men in power, he felt untouchable and above the law. He took advantage of young girls, their family's trust and their greed. Through his music, he told all of us what he wad doing, we just didn't want to connect the dots. There are a lot of people that are at fault here. A lot of people pursued money over what they thought was right, which played right into R. Kelly's hand.
