Well Brenda has already the flare and Newt doesn't. Unless the plan to infect him too, kill him and leave Brenda alive it makes sense that she's will take his place. Unless everyone will be alive and ok....
+TheFlowMind He already has it. The doctor in the mountains gave Brenda the same vaccination that WCKD gave to Newt at the beginning of the movie. It was blue and made of an immune's blood; you can see in the same scene that they took a blood sample from Thomas, too. So...
