My sons and I are very particular about foods there. I will try some of what you liked next time we visit. Love the chocolate. Agree, better there. My husband loves Marmite. I think its interesting.
A pasty (/ˈpæsti/) is a British baked pastry, a traditional variety of which is particularly associated with Cornwall, South West England, but has spread all over the British Isles, and elsewhere through the Cornish diaspora. Pasties date back as far as the 13th century, at which time they were devoured by the rich upper classes and royalty. The fillings were varied and indulgent, often containing venison, beef, lamb and seafood like eels, flavoured with rich gravies and fruits.
I always thought that it was for the miners and other professions that were unable to pick food up with their dirty hands. They would hold it by the crust and eat the filling.
We have an old mining town in California that was largely populated by Cornish miners called "Cousin Jacks." They have a restraunt up there now called "Cousin Jack's" and they still serve up Cornish Pasties.

I have refused to try alot of these foods, so good job! It has taken many visits, but I am finally ok with Indian food. Some of it anyway. I was very thin my first visit and I refused to try Fish and Chips due to the grease. Good to hear from an American its good. Perhaps I will try next time. ("chips", not "fries")...The terminology and spelling differences are fun. Malt Vinegar with the chips/fries. My younger son likes Malt Vinegar as well.
Some of that stuff looks like you would get it out of a vending machine. 😅😂🤣
