The video is great! thank you so much. Really helpful for our trip later this year. After arriving at Hongdae station, would you recommend taking a taxi to the place we stay or a bus? The place is not too far from the station, maybe 30min walk.
Oh you should take the taxi for sure. Buses aren’t easy to hop on and off when you got heavy luggage to carry around. You also risk taking a wrong one, you’re gonna be exhausted from the flight!
This was by far the most helpful guide for ! I was so confused because I thought AREX was a different thing from the Seoul metro Subway. Now I know exactly where to go, thank you!!
Thank you. This video is very helpful. We plan to stay in Myeongdong. How difficult is it to take the airport subway to get to Myeongdong station with a large suitcase?
I was in Seoul last week and planned to take the AREX into the city centre but because none of the ATM's were working my only option was to get a bus ticket with my debit card. I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the bus journey was, I selected Namdaemun Market as my destination and the bus dropped mtly opposite it. Next time I visit Seoul I won't hesitate to use the bus (6001) again.
thanks for a most informative video! new subscriber here! would you advise using the all stop train from ICN airport to Hongdae Exit 1 with luggages? will there be lifts and escalators leading to exit 1?
Hey, firstable thank you for the helpful guide. Secondable I would appreciate your help in my choice here. I'm visiting Seoul soon and judging by your video we are staying somewhere around your place and the arex full stop is so covinient but I'm afraid we are going to catch the rush hour in the subway since we arrive around 5pm and idk if the train wont get overpacked. We are going to be with big suitcases and i'm worried people would be annoyed by us and yeah. Saw there is a limo bus but it stops around exit 8 and idk if it is better to do the limo bus and then go from exit 8 to exit 7 through the subway, Oh yeah, we are arriving on a weekday too so i'm kinda overthinking it atm. Your recommendation would help tons.
no need to worry, arex is meant to be used by travelers, people will understand if you got some luggage on you even if it’s packed. with that being said, i do recommend taking the bus, it’s gonna be quite a hassle to carry all those around in rush hours…
I enjoy watching this video very informative especially for us first time going there. I subscribe to your channel for more videos that i need to watch. Thanks
Hey there! I'm afraid both buses and subways all stop before or right around midnight, so by the time you check out of the plane, claim your luggage and get to the bus/subway platforms, they'll be long gone :/ Taxi is probably your only option.
Hi! Your video is very helpfull. I need to go to Hankuk Univ. of Foreign Studies Station. Does the discartable ticket works to the full trip, or do I have to buy a new ticket in Seoul Station? thanks again
Ive noticed that all guide videos use a single journey ticket in the subway. Is it okay to buy and recharge a T-money card at the airport convenience store and use that to ride the airport railroad? Or does it have to be a single journey ticket each time? Thanks for the video btw!
Oh yes, of course you're free to do that. T-money cards work on all public transportation including buses, subways and taxis, except for trains (KTX, SRT and so on) and long-distance buses that you ride at bus terminals. I have my own T-money card - I just bought that single journey ticket in the video to demonstrate how it's bought.
Thank you so much for this helpful video! Is there a designated area on the subway for luggage? I worry about taking too much space with 4 luggages in total between me and husband.
Yes! You can find paid public lockers at most subway stations that are big enough - not just the Seoul subway lines but all the other regional subways as well. They’re not in every station, though, and it’s not easy for a non-Korean speaker to find that information online, so your best bet is to either look around for yourself or ask an employee about it. Show the following sentence to an employee: 혹시 이 역에 물품보관소 어디에 있나요?
You'll still have enough time to take the AREX subway as shown in the video, their final train to Seoul station is at 23:32 (Note: May change later). If you still want to stay at a nearby hotel, the most well-known ones around the airport are Nest Hotel and Grand Hyatt Incheon.
Thank you very much. I'm always afraid to get lost at the airport/railway/bus station when I arrive to the new country. This was very helpful. How much money should I put on T-money card so that would be enough to get from the airport to Myeongdong subway station?
If you’re talking about just that single trip from Incheon Airport > Myeongdong, 5,000KRW should be more than enough. I don’t think it costs more than 3,000KRW.
May I know if all the different exit of Hong Dae station is link with each other as my hotel is near exit 9 , the one i saw you exited is exit 7 thanks
For that I’ll have to make a whole video, as it’s not that simple unless you’re familiar with Korean. Stay tuned, I’ll upload a video on how to do that within a few weeks!

@@KoreaTravelGuide Thank you! Appreciate the reply :)
It's a bit like getting a ticket from the OVChipkaart machines in europe which oddly enough, only accept coins and only certain ones
Do you have a video on Tmoney card? How to get one, how to add money, and how to use it?
Like the other commenters have already said this was definitely the most helpful video about the subject. Thank you for the excellent guide!
Thank you for your kind words! If you have any further questions ask away :)
So glad I came across this video, I'm going to Korea in April and this is the exact stop I need to get to! Keep up the great videos ☺️
I’m glad my video helped! Safe travels!
This is a helpful video for first-timers to Korea.

🤣😂 I love how you went outside first to look for the subway. A very informative video and it's going to help many travelers. Thanks.
Thank you. This video is very helpful. We plan to stay in Myeongdong. How difficult is it to take the airport subway to get to Myeongdong station with a large suitcase?
All you gotta do is transfer to line 4 at Seoul station. There are elevators everywhere so it wouldn’t be a problem at all!
@@KoreaTravelGuide Thanks!

Thanks for watching 😀
"No need to use that stupid kiosk" was so funny + passive-aggressive hahaha, thanks for the video! Will be helpful when I reach Seoul :)
Thanks for watching! If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them or make a video about it!
thanks for a most informative video! new subscriber here! would you advise using the all stop train from ICN airport to Hongdae Exit 1 with luggages? will there be lifts and escalators leading to exit 1?
hey, thanks for subscribing! i’m not entirely sure if there is one at that exact exit but there will be a lift near that at least 🙂

EXCELLENT VIDEO
Thank you!
The MRT train in Seoul in Korea motor running sound really sounds like Singapore's Downtown Line MRT (Blue line) one.
MRT (x) AREX Airport railroad express (o)
Thank you so much 🙏
Thank you for watching! 😘
I think this video is really helpful !
Glad it helped!

they work for the full trip, and same goes for all subway stations 😃
You do not recommend NOT buying the tmoney card, so you highly recommend buying it there or not? If yes is it because it'd be better to have it asap?

Thanks for your suggestion!

My flight arrives late about 10.30 pm. Which airport hotel do you recommended for a night stay ?

Hi! If going to Incheon airport from Hongik University station, can we buy the arex tickets from Hongik University station?
Thank you!
You don't even need any tickets for the AREX train, you can just use the T-money card!
@@KoreaTravelGuide thank you for your help!
No problem 😉

what time is this? so we can book when not much people around
Don't remember which time that was 😅
Does Incheon airport have a good money exchange branch there?
there are banks at the airport but their rates are known to be less competitive compared to banks elsewhere
is this terminal 1? or Terminal 2? the one you made a vlog
It's Terminal 2 😃
If I from incheon airport, how go to jongno 3 ga station? can take all stop Train ?pls
Yes you can take the all stop train but you have to transfer once. Go to Seoul station and then transfer to Line 1 which goes to Jongno 3-ga station.
@@KoreaTravelGuide great,thank you .I hope I can go seoul soonif I can.
