Sabotoge by Beastie Boys should be next 😊 One of my favorite music videos
They started out playing punk music, and were early to catch on to rap. You can hear a lot of those influences in their music and how they arrange it.

The music video to this song was intentionally made to look like "Power Rangers" because it was paying homage to classic Japanese monster/robot TV shows like Ultraman, which themselves inspired Power Rangers. The American version of PR was actually a re-dressing of the Japanese series "Super Sentai." All of the Megazord scenes, Rita Repulsa scenes, Lord Zedd, etc were scenes from Super Sentai. The in-betweens (Angel Grove fights with putties, Ranger fights with monsters, Command Center scenes, etc) were then shot with the American actors and edited together to create the American version.

Beasties are an automatic sub. Top three all time music groups for me. There are so many songs that are great, so just react to their first four albums, then do the EPs, then the instrumentals, then the rest of the albums. The fun part is all of the music you have heard through reactions will help you recognize more of the samples.

We had two 12" and one 10" subwoofers a single mid and tow highs at a total watt output of 3500 peak rms. We lost to a van with 40 subwoofers and 12,000 watts peak rms. Not a bad day. Not saying it's worth it but try Frozen off Madonnas Ray of light. Raise all of your bass enhancers. This track has a hidden bass note. Check it out.

The beastie boys had the first ever number 1 Rap/HipHop album in the US with License to ill in 1987.
There wasn’t a No.1 Rap/HipHop album in 1988 which marks the last year that didn’t have at least 1 Rap/HipHop album reach number 1 (in the US)

Dude as a life long Beastie Boys fan. I have to say this is really a one off from most of their hip-hop catalog. If you want a true sample of quintessential B-Boys material, I’d go with Whatcha Want or Three MC’s and One DJ. My personal favorite would be “High Plains Drifter” off of Paul’s Boutique. Which is their best work imho. The amount of samples they used would be straight impossible today to make.

    From wiki
The "Intergalactic" video was directed by Adam Yauch under the pseudonym Nathanial Hörnblowér.[2] The storyline revolves around a giant robot causing destruction by fighting a giant octopus-headed creature in a city while popping, a parody of, or tribute to, Japanese Kaiju films (specifically the series finale of Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot).

I remember this being good back then, but a lot music, hip hop in this case, was really good then too. Listening now really puts it in perspective and forces comarisons to hip hop now which quite franklt; there just really is no comparison...this is another dimension, literally.

From the check your head album on they played all the instrument parts on the songs. The money from a settlement with British Airways for using their song Cookiepuss without permission is how they were able to buy an 808.

Paul Revere and Brass Monkey. Paul Revere is an 808 drum with inverted sound, cause I know you will wonder when you hear it.
