Another perspective to value this (dividend growth) stock is historical div yield. In 2009 after finacial crisis yield was (at best or worst) 4.76%. During covid panic yield was 4.0%. This is only a third time during last 16 years when div yield hits 4%.
Thanks so much Chuck for going in-depth on how to use the fast graphs tool. That was SO helpful for me to see how to actually use it effectively to begin evaluating a stock. Awesome work. thanks
Thank you Chuck. TROW and SWKS are both I'm currently down on, having entered too early too fast. I'll keep adding and look forward to the future where I'm hopefully no longer worrying about them.
Thanks for an excellent analysis. I am a Fastgraphs subscriber since 2008. It is honestly the best financial investment I have made, it enabled me to retire early with an increasing dividend paycheck. As you say, I couldn't imagine investing without it..
This video was timely for me. I was just about to sell some TROW shares to get a short term loss for tax purposes before they turn long term. Your excellent video has made me pause to reconsider this action. I continue to benefit from generous dividends that even Simplysafe considers very safe. Taking a deep dive on fewer stocks is very helpful. Thank you for these videos!
Been watching this stock for months trying to figure the right point to take a new position. Macro factors keep conspiring to drive that figure lower and lower.
I enjoyed this overview, already have about 2% of my portfolio in TROW, and although I'm down a little on it (-7%), continue to add in a couple of shares a month. I feels like one of my safer and more long term holdings at the moment, and keen to buy quality on some weakness.
BEST VIDEO YET! Greatly appreciate the information. Really looking to learning more from you on the health check part. Saving this video to share. I hope when my children are our age Fastgraphs is still running strong for them to use. Thank you
Thanks Chuck, deep and professional approach as always, i'm a basic member of Fastgraphs; it' s a valid orienting tool in these bearish days and i've been accumulating on TROW as the price continue to drop. If you mind i would appreciate to see next a screening of stocks ( 7-8 ) that have a significant Margin of Safety and that you like and own maybe pointing out the debt situation and possible risks in an increasing interest rates environment. Best teacher over there!!!!
thanks Chuck for some more good information. I'm new to buying stock. I have learned so much from you. thanks again for helping all of us rookies out and sharing your knowledge with us. please keep these Great videos coming sincerely: Mike Walters
TROW is one of the companies I always have on my potential buys list for when it dips back to a reasonable price. I’ve nibbled at it recently, and will add more as it goes lower.
Minute 5:56 seconds. You mention the stock is overvalued?is under the orange line. Wouldn't it be undervalued ? Thank you. Just want to keep on learning the basic concepts .
thanks for the question. I think you're misunderstanding what I said. I said "the stock looks undervalued here" Click on the subtitle on and you will be able to read the words. You are correct the stock looks undervalued.
@@mikel6728 thanks, you are correct. This was either a mistake slip of the tongue or I may have been referring to the timeframe Just before the stock fell. Either way thanks for the catch. I appreciate the thoroughness with which you watch the videos. Regards, Chuck

Hi can you do the marine shipping sector? I’m a user of fastgraphs. NMM or ZIM analysis please? You’re very wise and it’s a difficult picture for the sector
Elden: I showcased ICE in my previous video "41 dividend growth stocks requested ". You will find it at 22:17 in the video,. This is just a cursory review but I think ice is a great company here's a link: ruclips.net/video/7RxKrcckboQ/видео.html
Great analysis, thanks. It could be cool if you could change to a logarithmic graph - makes much more sense when looking tong term at developments. Just a sugggestion,
Lars: thanks for the suggestion. That feature is available. Subscribers can go to the settings clog and check logarithmic. However, by doing that you distort the display of the dividend payout ratio. Personally, I only use the log scale when looking at a stock like Apple what I want to see a clear view of the numbers 15 to 20 years ago. Otherwise, I prefer arithmetic because it actually gives a better perspective of earnings and dividends. If you are a subscriber you might try this out and you will see what I'm talking about. Thanks again Chuck
Hi Chuck. Would you have an interest in looking at some Canadian banks. I am looking at. BMO. Bank of nova scocia. Canadian imperial bank of Canada. And a much smaller one laurention bank. They all have pretty good dividen . maybe have a quick overveiw. Thanks for all the great info. Have a great day.👍
Using a DRIP calculator, I see VOO outperforms TROW over YTD to 11 years time frames. Seems not to jive with what you say re SPY and TROW performance comparison...
Karl : you are correct over that 11 year timeframe. However, as I often state : "measuring performance without simultaneously measuring valuation is a job half done." In 2011 TROW was significantly overvalued whereas the S&P 500 was fairly valued. You can do these calculations on FAST Graphs by just running the graph at 13 years (this includes to forecast years which haven't finished yet). By doing this you will see yet another example that "valuation matters, and it matters a lot." Regards, Chuck
Holy moly Chuck thanks for covering so many stocks in so little time!

thanks Chuck

Great video once again Uncle Chuck. I’ve been thinking of selling my PFE and buying MRK for upside. Any thoughts?
Hi chuck, nice video again, thx. Would love to know what you think about C stock now that they are so low.
Continuing to DCA into TROW. I understand why the stock has dropped, but this is getting excessive. What a great balance sheet TROW has as well.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉👍
