Although the video is good, it does not show the removal of the ribbon cable to the fingerprint scanner. Also I assume we would need to buy a new adhesive strip but can it simply be installed without removing al the old adhesive? If the old adhesive needs cleaning removing, what's the best way to complete that task?
U cant take it off back cover without heating, so it gonna be useless the old adhesive, and for fingerprint flex just lift up the thing where he presses after done installing port
this happened on 3 different p20 lites ive fixed over the past year.... idk they seem badly designed. this time even the connector wasnt soldered in place correctly and just snapped off

Yes it will, I also have that problem (because my headphones don't enter completely to the jack) but soon I'll replace the charging port

Did you connect correctly the port? Maybe that's the problem or the port is defective
