- We have a different backing track to accompany this fully restored, dipped and E-coated Jaguar MK2 bodyshell getting the full Novol For Classic Car treatment!!!!
The body shell was acid dipped, and all metal work restored by a 3rd party company. It was then E-Coated, before arriving with us for Epoxy coating, shaping and painting.

Mmm, shiny! This looks to be either the making of a "Concours Car" or a Jaguar that has real emotional value for its owner, since it seems to be far beyond the budget of a 'normal' restoration. Whatever the cost, this is a very inspiring project which shows off the amazing skills of your staff. Respect to everyone involved!

would be interesting to know the cost of getting just the body shell to this standard of finish, ₽5,000,000/£50,000? How many hours when into finishing this shell? A very beautiful creation on such an iconic shape.
Great work, hard cars to get right. Done badly they can look like a pin cushion down the sides.
Really good consicse film. It's clear why respray ( Body restoration, preparation & repainting) can cost tens of thousands of pounds. I wonder what this cost approximately?

Very nice result! How long (after baking clearcoat) should it wait before sanding and polishing can be done?
We go to it after 24hrs, but you could after a good 2-3hrs cool down.

Just curious. If the inside and engine bay is the same colour as the body, why mask it off? (no clear coat?)
Hi.
Inside and out is in black with clear coat. We mask out the sections to remove overspray and debris. To paint the shell inside and out ion one go will result in a long period of time working over wet clear coat. The interior for example has lot of intricate corners to get into - twice (2 coats of clear - 2 coats of base colour for that matter) This would require leaning in over wet sills and door shuts, and directing airborne particles over wet paint - either internally or externally. The same with the engine and boot bay. Masking out and separating the areas makes for a cleaner job - which in turn is a quicker job as it minimise risk of error, and debris that needs removing from the final clear coat.
