Incredible, I did nearly exactly that same route a few years ago. I was lost mind.
I think the thing in the trailer was a camping pod.

Yea it was a cool trip. Didn't end so well though. O a camping pod. Yea that makes sense.

That’s was a good video. Thank you. I am glad that you like your Zumo XT2 because I am a great believer in my XT. I hope that you are still just as keen a year on. I got back from my weekend away about an hour ago and have been using the Garmin throughout. I have used it in several different ways and it is equally good with each one. For my trip down to where I met my friends on Friday I created a GPX track using OsmAnd and loaded it into the Garmin. As usual it was easy to follow and I rode on exactly the roads I wanted to ride on and avoided the places I wanted to avoid. That’s my preferred way. On Saturday I used it as a fairly basic satnav. I typed in where I wanted to go and it took us there on a nice route that ended up looking like a semi-circle on the map. Not surprisingly after lunch when I wanted to go back to where we started from it suggested the same route in the opposite direction. I knew that a circular route was possible and headed off in the opposite direction to that suggested. It did tell me to turn around for a while but eventually chose another great route back and completed the circle. Today I used it the same way to ride part way back with a couple of my friends and it took us on a much more interesting route than the one I would have chosen. For the second half of my journey I quickly found a saved track I’d recorded before going to the same place and used it to get me half way home. I know the final part like the back of my hand but still asked the Garmin to go home and not only did it offer exactly the route I wanted to take but it gave me an eta that was accurate to within a couple of minutes over three hours of backroads. A couple of times I used the where to option to find petrol stations etc and it simply added them to the current route. Easy to use, logical and effective. I also have a customised panel that shows altitude and time because at certain times I find that info useful. I often wind up other users on FB touring pages over my use of the Zumo XT. I get fed up of being told that I should use Google Maps because it is better. I know it’s not better for me most of the time because I have it on my phone and I use it sometimes and I know it won’t do half of what the dedicated satnav does. The waterproof dust proof satnav with a big clear screen that I’m happy to leave out in the elements while I travel. Like you I have issues about leaving my phone that exposed. The Garmin shows information from the phone anyway.

Firstly although the GSA sat for a year, I didn't really use the sat nav. I did do a couple of trips & loved it. All before I started Prospecting. So now I'm getting to use it again I'm loving it. You've obviously really got to know how to use yours. I'll get there. Yes I absolutely hate the idea of having my phone on any bike. I have a B Line satnav for my sports bikes ect. My Street Glide has a pretty awesome satnav. That bike might be going next year though.

Great video, all the stuff we know and love.... plus Werther's Originals... it just get's better and betterer. I'm with Tim, I think that was a pod, or maybe a sauna, with a jacuzzi. It's all the thing you know... not with me, I hate the damn things, but the glamping types love them. I know the road you were on with the red flags, it's bloody awesome. The flags mean that the range is in use. If you like a castle. Google Kyleakin, Caisteal Maol and see which family owned it.

    • @Nightcrawler666

Thanks Neil. No way! So that's your castle then. Coool. When can we go? So the red flags do mean you could get a missile hit you then. Ok😄.

@@Nightcrawler666 red flags mean people have guns and bombs and other exciting stuff. The Beemer will need a bit of a leg stretch as soon as I'm happy with it. Kyleakin is just the other side of the Skye bridge, so we don't even have to get our feet wet.

Abergavenny isn't far from me, you went through the army ranges, the red flag means beware of low flying shells (and planes). I've got some video at the same spot, lol. 19:45 ruclips.net/video/CKt31izE0jI/видео.html . Great roads over the Brecons, but you would not believe how many never make it to the other side. You are right about the GPS, the police can, and will, send the unit off for analysis, though this would only normally be done in the event of a fatality.
