@maidstone10 Thanks Maidstone, your own bells at Kent were very interesting also. A lot harder to play as it requires a commitment from a greater number of people rather than just one at Cobh. Well done.
I too would like to know if you have any CD's available of these gorgeous bells. Please do let me know. Loved the sound and your explanation. Thank you.
i got the full experience of the bells at loud volume with head phones on i fell like i was faithfully there when you were filming it is well odd t gives you the feeling like your there when you were filming i watched it at hight volume with my head phones on
+Ringer Jake as I said earlier, this is not a forum for your squabbles, use your own page if you wish to indulge in this behaviour, and that goes for both of you. I find it utterly disgusting that both of you chose to behave in this manner and use a page that has nothing to do with you to air your personal immature grievances. To put it mildly, piss off somewhere else!
Is this the instrument that's also played in epic music I usually hear in. There are some epic music I listen to that have those epic bells in the background and I wonder if this is the one that they use?
Thank you for your response to my comment. Are any CD's available to purchase of the Cobh Cathedral carillon do you know, I would like to purchase one. I have a small collection of carillon CD's and having seen other youtube video's of this particular carillon I think it is an incredibly fine instrument. Many thanks.
Hi Adarsh, there is a practice console in the tower that is identical to the main key board, except it does not connect to the bells. It produces it's own sound within the practice cabin.
I would suppose that the bells are music to one's ears. In the U.S.people are generally more susceptible and willing to listen to (GARBAGE) i.e. rock music. In extremely loud speakers that kill the ears. And irritate some of us older folks. lol PEACE!
@@johnrobinson6809 At this point, rock and roll the genre is almost 70 years old that started with the likes of Buddy Holly and Bill Haley. I wonder how old you must be.

The carillon bells always remind me of Christmas time, it doesn't matter what song they play.
one of my favourite videos ever, thanks very much
We were at Cobh last week and talked to the docent at the cathedral. Two of the carillonneur's grandchildren are learning the art.
Thanks Mark, great to hear that the craft is being passed on for future generations to enjoy.
I LOVE!!! This is pure magic.
oh my godddddddddddd i was at the cathdrel when the carillonur was playing the bellls i so love the carilllon
Amelia Violet i'm hyper btw
Fascinating, informative and beautiful....I do love his bit about the number of steps...:-)
I remember listening to something like this when I lived in Holland. .I remember hearing Scott joplin's 'entertainer ' played once
Wow he plays very nicely 👍 ☺
The very bells that welcomed Laurel & Hardy to Ireland in 1953.
What a truly beautiful sound
Every time a bell rings, an angel gets upgraded to First Class.
i thort it was this : when a bell rings an angel gets wings
i think this -when the bell ring the angel sings
Juliana Alvarez same lol but i think when a bell rings an angel reseves its wings
+Annie McCarthy XD
Wait! We have one of these in Ireland!?!?😃
Wonderful music,I wish Ballyclare was a bit closer to Cobh so I could go hear it as it should be heard.
Adrian, BRAVO! Best GREETINGS from Lithuania!!!! :)
We don't have elevator in St Mary's cathedral here in Sydney...going up to central tower takes 130 plus steps
What a very interesting post: As an organist, I can draw parallels, but playing your instrument looks WAY more energetic!

Thanks Maidstone, I've sent a message directly to your utube account. Glad you appreciate the carillon.
omg love the tune played whats the name?
The Prince (or King) of Denmark March,
U play the piano too?
What was the song that was played? It almost sounds like the Masterpiece Theatre theme.
Thank you Maxcohen13.
Now just imagine some asshat going in, using the trainer to learn how to actually play it, then playing something from DOOM at midnight.
Let’s hear some AC/DC!
