Good review. I dont know what the cost would me now a days, but I built a deepwater cultivation hydroponic system about 7 years ago with a Rubbermaid tote, a aquarium pump, airline tubing and a stone, and some net pots. It was much cheaper than $140.

Wow- if my experience building something similar is valid I’d say that’s a substantial value. Steep learning curve on hydroponics though and I’m looking forward to your follow-up video. I have several Vevor products and generally they do a good job but it is pure trauma trying to get warranty replacements.

I've done DWC in the past and I found by keeping the solution level low with vigorous bobbling, the bubbles breaking on the solution surface created a mist and I essentially had an aero system. I always struggled in summer to keep the solution below 70 F and I would sometimes have to use Hydroguard to prevent root rot.

If the pump is kept above the water level then it can not siphon water back out of the buckets. I made my own similar system and you will get some algae growth in the external observation tubes which will interfere with the orange balls movement up and down the tube.

Nothing a little bit of hydrogen peroxide, and a straw cleaning brush won't fix

An aquarium check valve for 89 cents will solve that potential problem.

Nice system. I found submerging the grommets in hot water makes them easier to manage. Paddle Naked! The plant guy is a wild man!😂

Would a llittle dish soap on the tubing and grommets will make the hoses slide in easier?

A drop of soapy water on the rubber gromets/hoses for lubrication makes assembly easy with them.

So does a heat gun or a hair dryer.

Looks good, I think circular wider airstones would be an improvement and they should offer that option even it costs a little more. Better airstones make a difference.

Reviews with affiliate links isnt reviews but adverts. The problem with this product isnt the product but the price compared to the price of those product you can grow inside, it shouldn't be more expensive to make veggies yourself than buy them in the store - and it shouldn't have a bigger carbon-print to climate, than those the farmer produces

No, it's a review. Using the affiliate link compensated the reviewer for their time and effort making the review.
Now, *SPONSORED* reviews are advertising, I'll agree with you on that one.

Don’t rely on a check valve. Keep the air pump above the water line.
