- At the age of 23, she lost her husband in a war with terrorists in Kashmir(India) and was left with a two-year-old son. This brave mother fought against all odds, overcame weaknesses and became an army officer in Indian Army and a role model for many women in the world. Here is her story, in her own words At the age of 23, she lost her husband and was left with a two-year-old son. This brave mother fought against all odds, overcame weaknesses and became a role model for many. She quit her Post graduation studies in between and applied for SSB. She prepared hard and also took coaching for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview. On 07 Sep 2002, twenty days short of her husband’s first anniversary of Martyrdom, she became a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army. She was also the finalist for Mrs. India 2017. She became classic Mrs. India queen of substance 2017. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. As per her she was a victim of domestic abuse by her 2nd husband who was a civilian. Surprising and hard to believe that being a civilian he could do that to a combat trained army officer.

Sham through out her career she has used this shield of the martyrdom of this officer who happened to b her husband but post his departure to heavenly abode this lady never cared n looked after her old parents they were left high n dry complete money was hers , she joined the Army courtesy all help from her husbands unit while in Army she was professionally dud
