You may remix it.... sing it again.... add additional beats... or film it differently... But you can't recreate the magic Madam Musarrat has been able to achieve in this song. Her voice and singing has that rare texture and quality that shudders your heart and touches your soul.

The word "shalah" used at 1:52 is our central and western punjabi shortened form of arabic phrase "inshallah" and was often used particularly by mothers, grandmothers or elders etc. to wish good to their children or grand children etc. But these days women don't seem to use it at all but once it was such an essential part of the local indigenous way of wishing during the previous generations in central, western and southern parts of Pakistani Punjab.
I’m 60years now, used to listen to these song ,sung by ladies during sangeet and shagan, when I was a kid in mumbai, though no longer sung during sangeet in weddings still remember it , so nostalgic , down the memory lane……… need to add that during partition my parents migrated from haripur Hazara in north west frontier now Khyber pakhtoonkhawa a Pathan dominated territory, though we still speak the same language and I make it a point to teach my kids the same language
