    I made a purse using this video. At first I cut it too big, so I cut it down finished up at 10" wide (including sides) x 10" tall with only 3 panels. I sewed a box bottom and added some beads to the ties. Pretty cute. Thanks a lot.

      Hi Dee, you can use either standard sewing thread like Mettler Seralon or a heavier thread like Mettler Extra Strong for a nice effect.

    do you uses regular fabric sewing needle or which needle do you uses for sewinf faux leather?

    • @BerninaInternational
      @BerninaInternational  Год назад +1

      Hello Anuj, this depends on what thread you use. If it is a standard polyester thread, then a standard size 80 or 90 needle works well but if you use a heavy duty thread then I would recommend a size 90 topstitching needle. A leather needle is not necessary.

      I was told to never use a needle for leather on faux leather because it weakens the faux leather. I used a regular needle and it worked fine.

      Hi there, the double-sided tape is called Wonder Tape. It is excellent for all sort of sewing situations where you need to temporarily hold things together.

    Can you share your sewing machine ?

    • @BerninaInternational
      @BerninaInternational  10 месяцев назад

      We are not sure if we fully understand the question. The video shows sewing with a BERNINA 590. BERNINA sewing machines are sold through BERNINA dealers - you can find your nearest dealer at www.bernina.com/dealersearch . Some dealers also offer classes or work together with sewing cafés where you can rent a machine by the hour. However, I am not aware of a sharing model.

      Hi there, thanks for asking! Probably not, as we haven't receveid orders for these kits from our US colleagues here at BERNINA International in Switzerland. BERNINA of UK has ordered though. You might be able to order a Rossi bag kit online from a UK dealer.

    Tension? 😢

    • @BerninaInternational
      @BerninaInternational  Месяц назад

      Hi there, thanks for asking. Tension depends on the thread you use. For a heavier top thread you might need to tighten the top tension. We recommend starting the straps first so it is possible to get the tension right before sewing the parts where the stitching is more visible. Have fun sewing your bag.
