Thanks for watching! Leave a comment and share your biggest mistake as a new DJ or your best advice for someone just starting out as a mobile DJ.
Agree with this 100%. Also loving CRATEHACKERS!
Still stuck on Mistake #5. It's hard to find reliable and trustworthy people
I've been a DJ for awhile and thought well he's probably going to say something that I already know.... but actually you shared quite a bit!!! loved your tip about networking and joining the Chamber of Commerce. good stuff thank you.( Add a new rule.... even if you've been djing for years you're never to seasoned to learn something new)
I am constantly still learning myself!
great tips JOE.. thx so much
Thanks for watching. New video later today! Every Thursday at 3!
Nice! Ive done over 100 events in the last few years and everything fit in my Prius. Great content
Great tips and a few reminders for us Sr.'s
Never stop learning!
thanks bro dj bunn
Thanks to you
35 years in the biz for me and all of those are great points and I see them too
Glad you agree!
Good video
Glad you enjoyed
This is very true! I think every new DJ needs to watch this video! The only thing I would add is the new DJ's that undercut and charge an amount that is significantly less than the average market rate just to get gigs.
It happens. It's sad.
Good advices Joe! Thanks mate!! I've always telling the same to the new djs I work to, use your common sense.
Common sense is key!

HELPFUL TIPS...MUCH APPRECIATED.
Thanks for watching!!!
3:00 Ive been DJing for 11yrs while school comes in and I cannot afford going to a DJ Conference and I don't trust facebook and I cannot afford the DJs Vault.
big up am phamtom msoujah from kenya
Africa in the house!
Great content as always my dude!
Big issue I had was thinking I need the new item to make my gear load in or setup faster but the products being so far out of my price range and focusing on how much ‘better’ it would be with them. Sometimes ya gotta grind until you achieve the new more efficient goodies!
Cheers!
Truth
Good stuff joe !
Thanks 👍
Great advise
I think so!
Great video!!!
Thank you!!
Great stuff
Thanks!
Being a diva, for sure! Hate that entitled mindset!
for sure
What, you mean showing up to setup in shorts and flip flops is a No No!
Ha ha
@@DJJoeBunn someone actually posted themselves doing that 😳
Hey Joe
Hi!
@@DJJoeBunn Great video.
Joe,
Great advice and just going left for a second I am a NC Native living in NYC. I have DJ’d many places in and out of the country and I would love to guest DJ an event with you or just hang out. I will be in NC doing an event in October so what are your thoughts?
Shoot me an email support@thedjsvault.com
Used to DJ alone all the time. Now it’s only about 25% of the time.
I need a full time roadie!
Any advice on getting a mentor?
I'm already part of the Facebook group. I'd love to shadow a DJ and get hands on tips/tricks.
Any advice on how to practice setup if you have to use unfamiliar equipment at a venue?
Reach out to some folks in your area, they may be receptive!
Got a Guitar Center or Sam Ash nearby? They have tons of demo gear out.
There’s always a middle man trying to take a piece of someone else’s talent😂
