I am not sure you noticed, but when X Asgore defeated Toriel, she wasn't the only one kneeling. X Toriel also wasn't taking that well. Could be something of note.
I will say this toriel isn’t 100% dead probably We didn’t hear her soul break so.. she will probably become something like muffut or metton I don’t know if they will get help in the end or not but that’s something
We heard her turn to dust though. But really, considering Ink is aiming to SAVE XGaster (and a continuous sighting of the SAVE button in openings) I’m guessing by the end everyone and everything will be Overwritten back to normal. Or something to that effect.

I think it's because XToriel couldn't keep them from being killed, as she probably doesn't want anymore people to die
