United nations certainly needs a reform. There should not be any veto power at all. Just a 2/3rd majority vote in the UNGA should be enough to pass a resolution.
@@Raghav_K_shorts Exactly! We will have to bide our time and hide our strength. Den Xiaoping had given this mantra to Chinese and that worked wonders. But our leaders seem to declare victory even before the war is fought. This false bravado makes us sound more like Pakistan than a really responsible or capable country.
Like the saying goes, best defense is a good offense. China has realized that America does not want to be friends, so they have no choice but to start fighting back.
Wow, you went to a school where they had model UN shit… meanwhile most of India goes to school (i went to a such school) where English is only spoken in English period… Talk about being privileged dude… More power to you!
I like how from time to time this podcast comfortably abandons its veneer of neutrality and descends into unabashed Nehru-shaming, BJP-worshipping jingoism without any hesitation or shame. Congress Party has a million problems and it may take them one hundred more years to come out of those problems. We should condemn them. But it's a bit rich to sit and scoff at India's first PM who built India's modern civil infrastructures, public service systems, established and stabilized its democratic processes and functions unlike any other postcolonial nation in Asia or Africa could have had. It is of course acceptable to criticize his diplomatic shortsightedness (although he himself admitted that, unlike our esteemed current leader who is too much of a wuss to attend a press conference), but when you laugh or scoff at him, you are scoffing at the person who made modern India what it is. We could have been like Pakistan or Nigeria or Sri Lanka or any other developing nation-state in the global south where democracy is severely compromised or suspended. But Nehru's leadership made sure we didn't. Do better, Ranveer. We deserve to hear about geopolitics from people who are more qualified in the subject than conspiracy theorizing physicists.

The Chinese seem very aggressive in expanding its power. Perhaps India can learn something from the Chinese?
