If people watch then esports can thrive, but part of the struggle will be getting casual players to understand the nuances. Overwatch had a similar problem where pro play and low play were so disconnected that there was an actual knowledge barrier to the viewing experience.
@@bilbonuggs1567Overwatch was definitely not boring as an esport. And I think it was definitely easier to follow than rivals. That being said rivals is way more fun to play which is always a good thing for making a popular eSports game
Obviously their will be people who aren't into it, but I am pretty sure alot of people like pro play.... For example necros becoming popular for being the best Spiderman, people would wanna see him in a tournament... Team captain for best Wolverine, people do like to see pro gameplay, having an eSports scene just existing is not a bad thing.
I don't know if another hero shooter or free multiplayer game will topple it based on it being such an established IP with so much love and TONS of room to grow. If they bring the PVE that some data miners have seen possible, it'll maybe bring in even more casual players which would fuel the esport possibility. Very fun game I'd like to take more competitive but it's so fun with friends too and most of mine aren't into comp haha
I personally think this game has the sauce. Out side of me being able to play Spider-Man in a pvp game if they add a pve mode i dont think ill play any other live service game.
Personally Marvel Rivals is easier to watch than Overwatch. If you understand each characters abilities it's not hard to understand that's happening especially if you've played the game before.
Game will drop off in the next 3-4 months. Netease has no idea what they are doing in esports and if its picked up by a 3rd party TO - without commercial rights, won't be viable.
Esports is dying not that much games left to play as the games die themselves when becomes an esports league I mean look at apex legends and valorant both games entering 5 years and already dying
Yeah a game with snail movement mechanics, cluster fck of spam going on and boring gameplay, people think it can pop off in esports 🤣Overwatch was the same, no one watched it, Rivals is like 10 times worse than overwatch in that regard. It is like watching someone play on a mobile phone and now you want to make an org off it 🤣and showcase to the rest of the world your mobile game. 99% of the viewers won't know shit what is going on in the game with all the spam that is going on, this is the reason why CS or Valorant does well in esports, because even your grandpa or your dog/cat can follow that easily. Not to mention China inflates player numbers in Rivals with bots accounts and telling Chinese to just log into the game to boost player numbers, in reality, no one gives a fck about Rivals the same no one gave a shit about Naraka Bladepoint (another Netease game) where they also boosted player numbers like mad to boost popularity.
the game is too vapid, when I win a game it's "cool i won", when I lose it's "cool I lost"...it lacks deep engagement for me to play with an emotional investment in the results of a game.
As an esport def not it. First gotta see if it actually manages to keep the players within 6+ months. I have a feeling everyone get GM since its very easy and now the bots in lobbies Rumors it might not last as long it needs for it to become esport.
This is what happens when u actually make a fun game.
This game is made for fruit cake fairy boys grow up
@ u sound just like a fruit cake fairy boy. Just mad that u got hard stuck silver 😂😂

@@joetopplays5287And Overwatch 2 is for hard and tough manly men?? 😂🤣
It's just OW reskin with heroes. Nothing special imo. But everyone likes what they like so idc;P
Don’t care what shroud likes or doesn’t like, this is like the people stalking celebrities at this point. Shroud is just a rich weird nerd
he cheated his way to millions just probably wants to make more money on videos games but this time legit 😂

Marvel rivals will not be on the same level as the overwatch leauge and even that died
@@Shel230 OWL died because it had huge investors it could never pay back, literally hundreds of millions of dollars.

@ both are boring buddy sorry to break the news
Me personally, love playing the game - absolutely love it. I do enjoy watching streamers POV play but pro play imo is sooooooo boring to watch.

Nerf the healer ultimates.
This the same guy that said overwatch is leagues better than rivals💀
Imagine if he put this much effort into his game

Someone explain how this is better than OW in anyway other than being able to play Marvel characters? It's not nearly as optimized or polished.
are they targeting Esports they put a ranked system into the game of cause theyre interested in esports
Rivals is fun to play. And I like that.
What happened to Esports Talk? Genuine question
Rivals is for sure gunna make it to ESports its literally one of if not the biggest game in history. theyd be crazy not to run ESports teams

It definitely can. I never watched this type of game and i'm having a blast watching and playing it. The IP alone can carry it
To bad he wasn't this serious about his own game 😢😢😢😢😢😢
If shroud played overwatch off rip he would b hooked. Not that i support OW but like right from the start. He just got in late.
Game is super fun!!! Even if I get smacked a few matches in a row, I’m still having fun. Haven’t felt like this about a game for a while.
Would be a good nail to add to the coffin that belongs to Overwatch
It's fun when I want to play Overwatch, but Deadlock is both more fun and actually feels like a new game.
He needs to make some calls about deadlock
True, I personally have more fun watching and playing Deadlock and it's gonna be a much bigger name when Valve is ready to really show it off.
I love playing it, and I love watching it
Good luck going to Saudi Arabian tournaments with these skins lol
Nah, marvels may be fun to play, but to watch .... It's a tough watch
if u watch it in person pov can be fun

it aint even a beard tbf haha

Because they are trash games. League, DOTA, CS, COD and Rocket League have all been around for ages with a healthy ESPORTS scene.
Cod is the biggest pile of trash tho:D
@ I agree! But it has had a big esports scene for quite a while.
games too boring to watch tbh
actually agree with ya, brings the same madness as OW where fun to play > fun to watch
Marvel Rivals esports league?
No thanks
First!! 0.01 top percent
stop with the hat
What happened to his crap game?
Oh, so he's more passionate about Marvels over his own garbage dumpster fire game?
