Hi, the actual standard hp on the 103 ( I have a 2016 Fatboy lo Special) is75, I've done a stage 1 , pipes tuner & free flow air cleaner & that increases it by 10 -- 15 %,.I am contemplating doing a full stage 2 , cams lifters , cam plate & oil pump & that would take it to just over 100 hp, dependant on whether you put a torque cam in or a hp cam. I lived in Qld from 1980 till 2005 when I had to return to Wales ( UK) to look after my mum, I so miss Oz , great people & a great country. I was 23 in 1980 when I first went to Qld, spent the best yrs of my life there, so miss it. Take care & stay safe 👍👍😎
Yes, Harleys are expensive and they are not particularly fast. They are however, Iconic . I too own both a big Yamaha and this same 2012,Fatboy Lo . While I love my Yamaha and it is beautiful, but the Harley? Particularly the Fatboy is old school timeless beauty that will never go out of style . And the speed issue with some? What’s the hurry? It will still go fast enough to scare the hell out of you in the right or wrong situation. Yes you may get to the next red light first, but nobody’s lookin at you, they are watching that big Harley and smitten by that big thumping noise that pleases both sight and sound. No one ever said” hey you remember Joe? Yea he has a Honda “ lol.
I agree .I have a beautiful metallic green twin cam fat boy heavily chromed.And I get a kick out of people wanting to talk to me about it , and take pics of it .Even had conversations stuck in traffic with car drivers winding their windows down to comment on it .Its a magical bike even amongst other Harleys.
Yes sir. Agreed. It’s not about the speed at all. I have a 2003 Fatboy. I have other bikes to go faster if I want. But too me Harley’s aren’t about the speed. Cheers boys.
Lovely to listen to all the negatives about Harley but i will leave you with one comment and that is it takes a man to ride a Harley it certainly isn’t for the faint hearted or the sports temporaries that i see on the road or in the guard rails when I’m out riding .
No Harleys are not as quick or as fast as those crotch rocket bikes. But those are for children. And trust me they go plenty fast enough. It’s like having a nice big fancy classy full-size Ford truck and a guy in a Ferrari says those trucks aren’t fast. Will get in one of those trucks and put that pedal to the ground and see how long before you’re back your foot off. They like Harleys are definitely fast enough.

Bro, just took delivery of a 14 fat boy. On the road with tags, transport and tax I will be under 13 KUSD. It’s got 10 K US miles, Bags, engine guard pegs, windshield,, some other upgrades and Vance and Hines big shot lungs. I can ride that bike all over the United States and I have a dealer network to service it. Riding H-D says you got $ pride and like Pu-Say. Exactly a D9 dozer baby. Like a tractor.

I made my 22 year old FB Into a show bike. it’s a carburetor w/5 speed. My other HD is a fuel injection 6 speed. It’s VERY FAST. SCARY FAST.
