Nestled amidst the lush, verdant forests near Tulum on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, Villa Tulum is a harmonious blend of nature and contemporary architecture. The property itself is a testament to the site's natural beauty, divided into two distinct ecosystems by the villa's structure. To the front lies a dense forest, while behind, a Caribbean garden showcases the region's lower-lying vegetation. This unique setting inspired the architects to create a dwelling that respects the local environment while offering a modern and comfortable living space.To combat the region's high humidity and intense sunlight, the villa was elevated on load-bearing walls, allowing for cooling airflow beneath the structure. The roof, supported by five massive concrete beams, incorporates a similar ventilation system, drawing in refreshing sea breezes. This ingenious design ensures a naturally ventilated interior, preventing overheating and creating a pleasant indoor climate
