I'll have to say I like this first version better, focuses on the background of the album, clothing style, and Michelle just being normal and less stalking storytelling. This song is my favorite too I totally fell in love with this song from one of my cds that I had at 10yrs old and still listening at 24
Michelle is such a true talent. I saw her open for Cheryl Crow the year The Spirit Room came out-- just her and her guitar on the stage... and she KILLED IT. Still one of the most enjoyable live performances I've ever seen. I hope she never stops putting out great music.
Cute then and still is! Timeless beauty. She is still just so cool and releasing new music soon! Thanks to her husband Pat Carney of the Black Keys. He helped her find her confidence and self esteem again after Warner Nashville had shelved her album and dropped her years ago. Then after a looong break in 2017 he helped her come back.
What a great example about how industry taints their artists. This song was written about God. The next video she has a Ouij* board shirt and is stalking a boy.
