    Congratulations on having one of the most comprehensive, information rich gardening channels online. Your link back to Natur,e, the soil microbiome and ultimately human health, is something I have seen no other gardening channel do, which makes you unique. Your explanations are kept simple and concise which is a skill in itself. You have certainly improved some of my own gardening techniques, which I very much appreciate., so thank you.

    This season I let plants die back but didn't know to give them the 2 weeks to dry will try on my long season Purple Fingers as they are small and the most delicious potato I've found.
    I'm also having a " Purple Viking " bet you love the name gets bigger than most but cream color tastes like something for French fries I don't like them to much like white potatoes.
    Thanks

    • @gardenlikeaviking
      @gardenlikeaviking  2 года назад +1

      if you have a de-hum running then your best bet would be to get a supply of pure peat moss and layer them into slightly damp peat moss that'll keep them nice and fresh a long time but I'll show a video on this topic... and chicken manure is the best!!... make a barrel of Liquid fertilizer out of it and put the rest directly onto the soil in the fall so by spring its nice and fertile

    I planted a bunch of potatoes following your grow bag method. They started dying back about a week ago. Not crispy yet. I stopped watering them once they started wilting. Was this the correct thing to do?

    • @gardenlikeaviking
      @gardenlikeaviking  2 года назад +3

      I'd say continue watering them until they look like the ones in the grow bags of this video... mostly dead... not all climates will allow the stems to get crispy just make sure they're good and dead
