This is a very helpful video thanks. I'm gonna go with blogger because I just want an easy, basic, and minimalist personal website for the lowest possible cost. I don't even intend to put ads on it. I did buy a domain so that'll be my only expense. Maybe down the line I'll switch over to a wordpress site and import the content, but for now I'll avoid doing anything with recurring hosting fees since it's not income generating.
The benefit of Blogger is that you can try different blog ideas without paying for a domain and being stuck with it. Try a few topics and see how they rank before buying a domain and committing. That's my only advice from my personal experience.
I appreicate what you did here. This was pretty insiteful. I hated that I wasted so much time making a google site and google blogger when I could've used Wordpress for all I wanted to do.
I used to have a wordpress site a long time ago to sell a book i wrote. It was hosted on webhosting pad and about once per year the data tables would crash and I would have to rebuild all my blogs from scratch by copy n pasting stuff from google history of previous web crawls. So now I'm afraid to use wordpress. Maybe it was just that small little hosting company I used. One time I paid my bill late, and several weeks later they still wiped all my data clean off their server.
i have a 12 year old blog over at blogger and that one has adsense already, should I continue on with blogger or just start a new blog with wordpress? my concern is to be able to earn while blogging
Hi David, I just started on Blogger a few days ago following your tutorial and set a custom domain that I bought from Namecheap. However, I think I would like to start on Wordpress instead. Do I proceed to the new hosting site (eg blue host) and sign up with the same domain name, then get the nameservers from blue host and replace the earlier blogger host records with the blue host ones?
@@DavidUtke thanks for your reply just a idea I was playing with having 2 sites on much the same subject hoping to link them maybe do a few blogger sites with sub domain
It's pretty cool though having a free blogger blog exist in the world making $30-100 a month in ad revenue. But for building a serious business no question, avoid blogger.
So I use both platforms and I'm speaking from experience. Hope you found the video helpful! Hit that like button.
More tutorials on the way.

@@user-hc8li3qn3d Don't use Wix. Google still doesn't like it

You won't believe I took about a minute to choose which video to click on, but it's worth it, your short video made you have an upper hand also
EXCELLENT presentation. THANK YOU! Clear, to the point.
WordPress sounds better

Facebook and other social media websites including RUclips won't accept my blogger link ... why?
You can insert any affiliates ads in Blogger html

Pls David answer me. It is good to use blogger to run a news website??
If your goal is to make money then no. Blogger blogs just don’t rank as well as a self hosted website.
@@DavidUtke pls david answer me which is good bloger or wordper for google exceptance
Thanks for good explanation. You mentioned all the points clearly . I am out of my doubts now . #wordpress . 😊 #keepitup

I would start a new site. You loose all your rankings when moving.
Thank you ❤️ Very Valuable

Hello bro
Can I have a word press website with the main name and a blogger site with a sub domain name added to it
Yes actually, great question. Blogger does surprisingly support sub domains.

@@DavidUtke Hi, can you explain this on a video? I mean, what is a subdomain
pls spanish 🙏
Advertising is modern bullshit and something that no one really needs on a battered planet.
That's an interesting idea for a blog post.
WordPress destroys blogger
