awesome video hoagie, always love how lucky you are when fishing, I've got about 20 of those mullet lures don't know how you manage to catch that many but I love it!!! keep up the good work!
Yeah I have to get some more, but the young fella outfished me on them the other day when we went for a wander without the camera. They’re good mate. 😉👌🏻
After working with crocs now for going on 5 years iv seen crocs well over 4 metres and weighing over 1000kgs hide in shin deep water. Id never underestimate them.
@@TheWandererofaus yep. I’ve seen some pretty astonishing stuff too mate, that’s why we put these pieces in hey. Hopefully keeps it in people’s minds all the time. I’ve nearly been hit three times now, and it’s spooky when it happens. No predicting it. Just prepared for if the potential is there. 😉 thanks for the input mate. 🤙🏻
Hi Hodgie, you kept looking to your left, was there a croc hanging around? then it looked like you spotted a snake to your right at one stage. Keep the fishing going mate. Juils.
Very much on the ball mate. Any unidentified movement I sort of don’t turn away until I’m sure it’s not a threat. Your right. There was a bit of strange water movement to the left, and then a really weird sound hard up against the bank on my right. Well spotted mate. 😉👌🏻
I remember fishing Prosepine river on the dilapidated pontoon, didn’t see the crocs until I focused my eyes, thousands of em… Intense session for a first timer up that way.. 😅 Thanks for the tips, one question is I notice you never seem to use scent ? Is that just for us southern Bream sucker anglers or are they on that much up in your neck of the woods Hodgie? Cheers old mate for the content.
@@ynots0625 nah not at all mate. There are plenty of tournament anglers who won’t throw a lure without scents added, and whether that be a precautionary confidence thing, or a proven tactic that puts them in the upper level of angler doesn’t matter really, as long as they believe in it and have confidence in it. I’ve been doing a bit lately with the new Halco Catch scent and must say, it does seem to make a difference, so maybe I’ll start using it a bit more. 🤙🏻🤔
I think that for those coming up to the north for the first time need to be aware of the potential croc threat, sadly I don’t think it will be long and someone will end up going here hey. People are just getting complacent and I hope I’m wrong, but you see some pretty silly stuff going on these days. 😳
