Several things: i love that he always puts on a show. I love that he had letterman hold up a record instead of a CD and most of all i love that he's amazing.
Every person should have an ounce of the kind of class that Bryan Ferry has. My hats off to ya Bryan. Every one should remember....Love Is The Drug. Oh and the dancers ? HOT HOT HOT
The greatest , the best and the most sophisticated musician of all times, at least for me. Mr. Ferry got that "touch" of high class that anybody else got...
Oh Bryan...older than my dad, but you still do it to me.... Endlessly sexy. Eternally cool. Suits to die for. Music to live for. Off to buy ''Olympia' now.
This guy is an icon... I grew up with his voice and music, and he's as great as he ever was!. Mr. Cool himself with a hell of lot of integrity in his luggage....
this is as good as it gets. The band, which includes his son on drums, is fantastic. My wife and i are flying to Miami and Atlanta for the first two USA concert dates...can't wait.
@@ashwadhwani your “underrated” comment only shows your great ignorance about music in general as you don’t know Mr. Ferry’s career and achievments both solo and in Roxy Music. Roxy Music is one of the best ever british bands and is highly rated. The “highly underrated” and “criminally underrated” everytime diminushes the artist in question, it’s just silly
The greatest , the best and the most sophisticated musician of all times, at least for me. Mr. Ferry got that "touch" of high class that anybody else got...Better and better with the years !
The choreography of the dancers WOW... the originality of the music WOW... the performance of the band and Ferry's vocals, you guessed it WOW... This band (Ferry) has always been original, even when making covers... and that's the artistry of creating your own genre Roxy Music is it's own brand of music.
I don't, I have Live at The Apollo. But have seen some of Live in Lyon, also great. Have followed Roxy since the 70's. They are unique in the music industry, have a unique sound that doesn't follow any of the established rules. from the inner sleeve of their first album says it all, this is just a snippet. … listening to the music re-sounding, cutting the air like it was glass, rock’n’roll juggernauted into demonic electronic supersonic mo-mo-momentum - by a panoplic machine-pile, hifi or scifi who can tell? Wailing old-time sax, velvet/viscous, vibrato/vicious or ensemble jamming (& more) … synthesised to whirls and whorls of hardrock sound … mixed/fixed/sifted/lifted to driving, high-flying chunks & vorticles of pure electronic wow cheers.
Thanks. I'll look for Apollo. Lyon is amazing.... Really love Oliver Thompson's guitar tone, as well. And that choreography.... "I Put a Spell on You," and "Don't Stop the Dance" are just the most beautiful songs.....
I loves all of Bryans stuff, I like this CD too- just not as much as his other efforts... I think he's coming to NYC shortly too.. I have not seen him in a while..
In a era of mediocre singers, frontmen etc in my opinion Brian Ferry is one of the very few left that is always stylish, within 5 seconds of hearing his voice you know who it is. Long time fan and hopefully this man will find a stage here in Las Vegas soon.
Love the OLYMPIA album. Bryan Ferry the way I like to see him, reminds of the cool and slick quality that Boys & Girls have. Great stuff. And yes, the women rock:)
That dancer is gorgeous! The camera (and Dave) obviously like her as well. Anyone know who she is? Great track from Bryan. Haven't listened to him since the 80's.
I was a little surprised to watch this, and it be so Great. He has done some Cover albums and such which isn't what I particularly Dig from Ferry, but this is Ferry back on Track! With The Minor key Groove thing and Aesthetic Rock Guitar and Bass/Drum Rhythm. And Oh Yes, The Bangin' Black Back-up Singers and Dancers, Choice Stuff
Been a fan forever and it's great to see BF still getting it done, with style as usual. But what amuses me about this appearance is that the redhead girl behind Ferry looks so much like Shirley Manson of Garbage.
Thanks for posting! I knew he would probably be on Letterman, just didn't think it would be this soon. Awesome,he's soo darn cool, I wonder if Bryan did any other promo spots while in New York. Roxy PLEASE come to the States as part of the summer 2011 tour.
I don't know if you guys stopped the clip when the credits started to roll, like me. But right at the end of the clip there is a 2-3 sec close up of our girl, which I'd missed before! Very cute. The dancers weren't on his UK TV performances, so it must just be in the US. Have checked his site, but can't see any other TV appearances planned. I don't know if the Bryan fans have anymore info?
Ferry has a distinctive voice. I like the groove he has here. He could have developed that groove a bit more towards the end. The dancers were unnecessary but added a bit off visual flair. Made me want to buy the album.
@oneflashoflight Alright then. since you're on tour n all. I'd love to see your real time video. Is on You tube by chance? cos I would like to check it out since I'm a fan of multiple genres. Thanks
Liked seeing this but would have preferred if camera showed the musicians more and dancers less! Really don't like Letterman, but watched to see Ferry here in the States. Hoping he tours here in the States.
Bryan Ferry has always been smart enough to surround himself with a great guitarist, and Oliver Thompson is no exception. I love the way he plays.
Bryan Ferry: still reinventing his music and himself. One of the greatest and most influential musicians ever!
Still one of my all time favorites for a very long time now. Great bass and guitar player. Solid drummer.
The dancer is fantastic. Yes, that one.
Bryan keeps getting better every time.
I cant believe I saw their reunion show 10 years ago
Several things: i love that he always puts on a show. I love that he had letterman hold up a record instead of a CD and most of all i love that he's amazing.
The record was a unique, skillful, and authentic touch-good call!!
Every person should have an ounce of the kind of class that Bryan Ferry has. My hats off to ya Bryan. Every one should remember....Love Is The Drug.
Oh and the dancers ? HOT HOT HOT
Class is class and this Ferry guy had it in bucket loads.
The greatest , the best and the most sophisticated musician of all times, at least for me.
Mr. Ferry got that "touch" of high class that anybody else got...
is and will always be the most suave dude ever! Loved his stuff since early roxy music!
I miss you, Bryan. When I was a teenager in the 80s, I wanted to BE you (and/or David Sylvian). Thanks for all the incredible memories.
Oh Bryan...older than my dad, but you still do it to me.... Endlessly sexy. Eternally cool. Suits to die for. Music to live for. Off to buy ''Olympia' now.
Mr. Ferry, you've come a long way baby & you still have it!!!!
Brian Ferry appreciates the beauty of women, always classy production.
BritishRG. Y!
How did I miss this guy "back in the day?" So glad I've discovered him now! WOWZA!
He's still got it. Grew up listening to his music and it's nice to know he's still around.
"Olympia" was a nice surprise...
This guy is an icon... I grew up with his voice and music, and he's as great as he ever was!. Mr. Cool himself with a hell of lot of integrity in his luggage....
Other-worldly. At 65 Ferry is amazing. What a band. Watched this at least 30 times.
this is as good as it gets. The band, which includes his son on drums, is fantastic. My wife and i are flying to Miami and Atlanta for the first two USA concert dates...can't wait.

those. two dancers in the rear drive me insane....they are fabulous
Bryan is one of the more prolific song writing artists that is often overlooked, but belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Bryan Ferry... always so smooth, controlled & classy... his first 2 albums were master-pieces.
Love love Bryan Ferry! Saw him LIVE a few years ago. Always puts on a great show. He’s magical! 💜✨
always loved Bryan Ferry. Such an amazing artist.

Bryan is and will always be the "King of Cool".. And he's without doubt one of the best lyricists out there, if not the best ;) You rock Bryan!
love this sone and performance. listened to it over 100 times. Great Job!
This is a man in his mid 60's... who "gets it". Soulful, hot, and relevant! A very powerful performance, great band, hot dancers, man oh man.

Smooth.
This is the first time I've seen this vid or heard this song. The opening is a LOT like True To Life.
Yeah,,, I think there are several 'throwbacks" on the Olympia album...Alphaville has shades of something from way back too.
I love this man! I have tickets to see him in October. Can't wait!
I completely adore this performance!
i didn't even know about this album. Sexiest man in rock and roll. Ever.
completely agree I just found him last year is the solo guitarist his son?
