I'm more used to apt than pacman so I was just trying to install VS Code without messing around with compiling... or anything like that. But makepg wasn't too bad it turns out. Anyway I ended up going back to Mobian Phosh primarily since it is more stable with regard to external monitor performance (settings stick) and window behavior is more predictable.
If we really want to see smartphone as laptop replacement, Android never has been the answer people are looking for. It's time we give attention to GNU Linux smartphones as they can easily run native desktop softwares, unlike Android.
Yeah unfortunately development goes where the money is (Android). So the "Linux" phone experience is janky, software is lacking and hardware is old. But yeah it has potential, I hope to see it get there.
