Was the USSR Cup the equivalent of what is now the Russian Cup Final? This would be their second season skating together, then? Impressive speed and extension, but the Soviets were so deep in pairs, it would take another couple years for them to make it to Worlds.

По предварительной информации , это уроженцы Ленинграда Вадим Наумов и Евгения Шишкова. Также на борту находились дети российских эмигрантов. Сын тоже погиб ! Светлая память ,соотечественники ! Мы в России скорбим ❤😢

Yes, it was just like Final Russian Cup.

@@kiasiete3079 they were 4th, we were 5th, 1st - Bechke-Petrov, 2nd - Kvitchenko-Kadyrkaev, 3rd - Mishkutionok-Dmitriev
