I think this show would be more interesting if there was only ONE guest and good conversation. This cutting guests short because of time is tedious and a bit of an insult to the guests. Lily Tomlin was a good example: "That's it?"
I quite like the idea of it being two guests because that way if the interview is uncomfortable or people just don't enjoy it there's still another interview that will probably go well. I agree that three cuts the conversation short though, it can feel cramped sometimes
Does Sam do standup I would love to hear him talk about his childhood more. The ending was hilarious because you can really see how true and painful it is too.
When Brits order water in a US restaurant etc, the staff always double-check they've heard correctly. Not so surprising if it's said in a hurry, and when you consider the only letter pronounced the same is the "W".
Slughorn appears so late in the series, I would bet a million dollars she made him chubby and in Slytherin specifically to go against the stereotype she had set up Part of the whole point of Slughorn's character is to subvert Harry's and the reader's expectations anyway
@@seanosull2884 I honestly don't know. The only Ghanaians I've ever met who speak with English accents are my cousins and that's because they live in England.
Sam goes "I grew up between Detroit and Ghana." So wait, like the Atlantic Ocean? You're giving us a very wide area for your hometown buddy. Btw for a laugh, text a question to (402) 521 1195.
How many of you are watching this after his special with Conan in Without Borders?
I am.
YO!
I watched the Conan in Ghana,
If you have a choice between the two,
I'd choose Ghana hands down, it a beautiful country with beautiful people.
Wow nice thanks for the complement, on behalf of Ghanaians.
@@AS-rw7rf Howdy partner,
Form the Southwest of America!
Loved the 'Richard T. Splett' reference. Stephen clearly loves the show as well.
Love how we've seen every cast member of Veep appear on The Late Show. They're my two favourite shows ever. Dream come true.
I do hope before the season finale. JULIA herself will show up.
shout out to Ghana! he's cute. he can get it.
he came through in season 3 and he has knocked it out the park.
the end was hilarious haha. you can see that colbert is serious about veep, he has cast members on every week
Lots of love from Nigeria, West Africa Sam 🙋🤗.
His character is one of the best on Veep.
"Dunno why I said T, your middle name is John"
Lovely reference ha
:)
i always search Ghana just to find something new.
Holy crap. Me too. All the time
Ghana represent
I love that they're talking about that old sketch of Colbert's - one of my favorites, ever.
lmao Black Nerd Pride!
Ive never met a Ghanaian who wasn't sweet natured and kind.
Sam plays Richard to a T. Absolutely perfect. Seems like a great guy in real life too.
Love him. Should watch Veep.
I love Richard :) It is nice to know that Sam seems like a good person as well
GHANA 🇬🇭 IS AWESOME AND AMAZING BY THE WAY,ALWAYS REPRESENTING.WATER IS PRONOUNCED DIFFERENTLY IN GHANA BY THE WAY 🤣🤣🤣
Colbert is a big fan of VEEP, which makes me like him more. Please bring David Mandel next week.🙏🏽
Sam Richardson should play Biz Markie in a biopic.
Late Show guest list just keeps getting better and better. The deeper we go, the richer the reward. Love!

James Boyer Or have all the guests on at the same time like James Corden does.

🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭
Love him in VEEP
Sam would have killed it as a Daily Show correspondent!!!
How he didn't get a supporting or guest Emmy nomination for the season he was in a lot is beyond me
Man Richard is hands-down my favourite character on Veep. Saw Sam on Ted Lasso recently and was insanely good on that too.
"Richard Splett"
"Splitt?"
"uh Splett"
Water! 🌊🌊🌊
wa-tuh
Wadurr!
Wooder
He is great as Chico the Cat.
we have arrived ooooooohhhhhh!
you could say he SPLETT his childhood
bye
Love this man.
Bruce Lee: "Wataaaah!!"
They should make more shiny trophies just for the cast of Veep.
He is awesome in Detroiters as well.
Jonah Ryan should be the next guest
He already went on
**Jon H Ryan
i need to watch that show.....
Detroiters is hilarious!
was this the guy on Cracked, if it is i'm truly happy for dude. He was really funny.
The piece Maya starring Carell and Colbert is on RUclips.

When I travel to the US, "water" is the first word for which I adjust my pronunciation. "Wah-derr" vs "Wought-ah"
Brilliant actor.
I like Sam, his energy, and his performances. Great interview except for the very unpleasant "like" speak.
The first time they actually picked a great clip
great man
I've never gone to Ghana and my grandma had an English accent.... maybe I'm not going to the right parts of Accra

God bless second city
Solid stuff!
Soon to be cast in the upcoming David Oyelowo biopic……
Seems very much like his Richard Splett character
Come to El Salvador with Ed Weeks...
water vs worrer.....
Should have gone in for the kiss.
Bring Back My Pig
My last nam is Richardson
I don't watch this show (aside from RUclips clips)
But that was too short of an interview / guest appearance.
Akwamba! gimme fish and chips
Akwaba. No "m".
Akwaaba!
Slughorn wasn't the head of slitherin? Am I the only one who caught that? Also, who is Slughorn? 2:20 btw
Uncle Desmond Wiafe
richard!!!!!
"That's some good bone crushin'!"
So his Ghanaian family have English accents?
I was wondering the same thing.. I wouldn't think that was a common accent in Ghana?
@@seanosull2884 No we speak English with Ghanaian accents no where close to an English one.
@@ItsExtraToasty that's what I thought.. Why is he saying his family spoke like that?

Whatah! Hahah
cool
without all those "likes" the interview would be just "like" 3 minutes long... lol
Awesome interview. anyone else hoping they were going to make out?
Akwaaba
#mustbenice
I've never heard a grown man say 'like' in an interview this much. Either he was really nervous or he needs to work on his interview skills.
Man David Oleyelowo really let himself go.
Steven Rivas Lmaoooooooooo... Sir, you need to apologize 😂

Flaming. Everyone is a butty nowadays.
He's good in the show, but has a horrible singing voice in the burger king commercial! Since when is singing off key good,? 🫤
