Great video 👍 A Ford and an LS tractor plus a product review, with some Echo 590 Timber wolf sawing logs now that's how to make a great video 👍. Have a Blessed and Happy New year Thanks for sharing.
Nice video CJ. A friend of mine has some clamp on forks, he got a half inch steel plate 4" wide and the length of the bucket and he puts the plate in thd bucket and clamps it all up, it really helps strengthen the bucket from potential bending and he lifts some large logs. About 12 years ago I restored an old 1953 Massey Harris tractor for my dad that was sitting under a tree in the paddock for years. It was very satisfying to bring it back to life and it now sits proudly in the shed.
Great video, $161 to save your back. Yes it's definitely worth every penny. I'm working on a few more hunting videos. With any luck I'll have one of then out in next few days.
Awesome buddy! That Ford sure is a clean tractor, hopefully the adjustment goes smooth and gives ya some good brakes! The forks and the new saw haul look like they will be a big help around the farm! Thanks for taking us along, take care buddy
Hi CJ ! That little ford is a beauty . You can buy every little piece for that tractor . First time also someone actually holds a camera up close and shows a detailed view of how something is made or fits . 👍👍 . Those clamp on forks are going too save your back and help you work much safer . Good stuff 👍👍👍
Good job on the video CJ. Keep us posted on how the pallet forks work out. I’m interested to see how they work supporting larger logs when cutting firewood.
Nice forks for the price for sure. We bought a set from Titan for a little over $400 that has 42” forks, a receiver for a hitch, and a bale spear, very handy for what we do here. When we had the Golden Jubilee we got our parts from Steiner, just8ns, or yesterday’s tractors. Yesterday’s tractors web site seemed easier to use and a little less expensive than Steiner. Keep up the great work!
How's she goin'? That old Ford is a nice tractor. Glad to see you are planning on keeping it up and using it like it's meant to be used. The pallet forks are handy to have too. You'll get a lot of use out of these I bet. Happy New Year and take 'er easy!!!
Hey CJ, pretty good video today. The brake drums need to be checked at a parts store to see if they are able to stand a turning and put some new “GOOD “ brake shoes on both sides, they are glazed and don’t stop you very good now. Also you should get the proper brake adjuster tool and new covers for the adjustment holes in the backing plates. Disassemble the brake adjusters (don’t mix up the sides when cleaning) and use never seize lube before putting them back together. BEFORE TAKING THE BRAKES OFF TAKE A PICTURE OF EACH SIDE so you can have an idea where all those thingamabobs go. Do the brakes right this time and you will not be sorry. You want it to stop when you push the whoa peddles !! You’ll get better with the forks the more you use them . I’d suggest you get some hooks welded on top of the bucket and a couple boomers before your bend the bottom of the bucket too, happens easily when you have a bigger tractor. Happy New Year to you all. Thanks for sharing with us
Those forks will be handy that's for sure! Affordable too even better! Something told me those tires where loaded! I was pulling your feet out of the way Lol ! You might need a chain fall to install that tire back on? Pretty darn heavy be careful, and thanks for sharing 👍
Haha yeah I was thinking about some different ways to get the tires back on. The forks are going to work just fine for me. I'm glad I bought them. Take care Dave 👍
Nice to see the brakes don't need rebuilt, just adjusted! That's a nice little break for ya. I wanted pallet forks for a long time, but for now I'm just using my double bale spear for forks. Watching this makes me want to build a set of forks though! You mentioned making hay.. are you buying hay equipment to make your own hay?
@@DennysCountryLife yes exactly! I want to start by selling and seeing how much I can produce in a season. Then I'll go from there. Wish my ground was as flat as yours lol
A very handy implement CJ. My brother bought A new 48"set for his J.D 4005 quick attach. He gave me his old ones which were 36" quick attach. They are very handy. Maybe oneday i will have a grapple with a 3rd function added. They too are very expensive so I'll have to wait until my budget will allow it, haha. But thats okay. Happy New Years buddy looking forward to a great 2020.
Nice video CJ I’d like to get a little Ford tractor at some point for a project tractor, Love watching Project Farm, looks like those forks will be a handy tool!
I have an 801 that had the automatic transmission but when it quit nobody could work on it so put a manual back in. Still use the tractor all the time. I am debating whether to buy forks or build them...I need them to lift about 2000 lbs. They're for a different tractor, a 70 hp.
An automatic? I didn't they had those..this is all new to me since I had to buy this tractor suddenly when my uncle passed. I am learning more about it and loving it more everytime I get on it. Idk if I would try to lift 2K pounds with clamp ons unless I had a way to brace the bottom of the bucket.
@@Mallard5plus1Farmhouse I figured that out pretty quick when I saw how they attached to the bucket. It would take some modification before I would even try it. They do look handy though.
CJ, they look great. I have a set without the stabilizer bar. Watch for bucket flex with them. My bucket will flex and bounce. They do the job of lifting. Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year to you and your family. Ken
I'd love to see this put to the test. I was contemplating getting some forks for moving some wooden hunting blinds. Moving them with the bucket works, but not well. I'm not sure if these would hold up or not. I can guarantee you'll put them to use though. Nice price on them!
Thanks for the video, I was looking for a set on forks to put on my tractor without taking the bucket off every time i wanted to use forks. they are on the way, just ordered them Thanks again for the info.
I hope you had a good Christmas and and a wonderful New Year yourself CJ when you adjust those brakes it should have a hole through the back side of that plate that should give you some more force on that adjuster

I use a set of bolt on forklift forks on my small tractor pretty often, You are getting old Ford in shape!
Yeah I'm trying Tony.. that old Ford is really special to me!
