I am glad your sharing this I am not Native American,i was born I was born here but my parents are from mexico and I am part Purepecha from Morelia Michoacán MX. and they don't even bother relieve there tradition o culture just a little bit but not enough. I may sound mean but I a not been mean I just saying the truth and what I see. I am really praude that your passing on the tradition the culture and the way of living I wih I was Native American

Todays young people are too engrossed in their tech toys. I was at a concert this evening and the singer was incredible. Two guys were texting next to me and talking and answering e mail. I thought they were rude. What gives?

Good to share beautiful parts of our culture but I thought this dance was sacred and not for tourists but maybe here it is not done in completeness. The people seem respectful. I had a very good friend as a young man who was Hopi-Tewa. I have tried to find him again. I wrote the Hopi Tewa online once at a tribal center but they never answered. John Makewa, if you are out there I remember our friendship.
I have really no Cherokee blood left in me but I still consider my self to be a distant relative to all other Cherokee so I learn traditions and regalia
