It’s more affordable, vegan, cruelty-free, fragrance-free, and has better skincare ingredients😊I am unable to even try chanel’s version since it doesn’t fit those criteria but going based off ingredients (which is what matters to me rather than coverage), it seems rose inc would be a much better choice. I have been loving it. I have combo skin, primarily drier though.
Omgosh, I hope that you are okay from the accident. These both look really pretty, but I can get a similar effect from a tinted sunscreen. One that comes to mind is the DRMTLGY TINTED moisturizer.

That’s a valid point! I think the reason why myself and others don’t talk about the brush is because 1. I didn’t like it and 2. If I’m going to use a brush with this product I have ones that I consider better than it. I think for a Chanel brush it was a wee bit cheap. Just my opinion though ❤️

I have that problem getting coverage on my nose with most base products, and I have uber dry skin. Did the brush push all that pigment to your hairline? I’m finding nothing hydrating about rose skin tint, and I’m really frustrated by everyone and their uncle putting hyrolaunic acid in all sorts of products. It doesn’t take into account climate, or anything. In fact, I suspect that it can make dry skin dryer if the only place it can grab hydration from is your skin’s surface. This skin tint looks matte on my skin, even over a luminous primer. I’m boggled by how folks are getting any sheen from this. Rose concealer goes chalky on me (Kosas does as well, even faster, in fact,) and I know that castor oil, and it’s derivatives, are an issue for my skin. Knowing that such a thing is in the concealer, I read about every ingredient I wasn’t familiar with, and couldn’t find any castor oil derivatives in the skin tint. So, there must be another common ingredient that’s affecting the finish. I’m grateful I got a good discount on it. It’s a bummer, too, because the undertone works well with my skin color. The same is true of the concealer. Lx010 & Other things are issues for me, such as cones, clays, talc, bismuth, so cosmetics are tricky as a whole. Some I avoid altogether, others I look for them being in lower amounts, pushed down the the ingredients list. That said, regarding using the skin tint and concealer together, IMO, the trick of the concealer is not to apply it directly to the skin. Apply it to the back of the hand, and lightly apply it from there, with finger or brush. I like a pigmented concealer that can be sheered out (but can’t find one my skin is happy with.) The Hooded Lid said the same you did about he rose skin tint: it lacks je nais se quois, but I guess what that is happening s gif each person varies. I want to add that she put a lot on to build up coverage to hide her redness, and it’s not meant to be used like that; it’s supposed to be closer to skincare than foundation. If a foundation is that sheer, I patch those areas with a concealer or corrector. Thanks for the comparison. Hope you have no mid or longterm effects from the crash. 🖤
Ohhhh interesting comparison! The Glossier has the absolute lightest coverage of anything on the market, in my opinion so the rose Inc would definitely show up more in a side-by-side. I think the Chanel might actually be closer to the Glossier than Rose Inc. May do some testing 🤗
you do need to give it a few mins for the sunscreen to dry down a little. the rose inc can be a little weird, but it will rub in and it doesn't always give me issues
