Did your student's department go over the financial aid package with you? Was it clear what was debt and what wasn’t on their offer? I'd love to know in the comments below!
No, I had no idea, there were no explanations :(
Thank you for saving my life
They went over the student loan process with me. My question is does it get out into my student account or a bank account🤔 I want to buy a laptop and school supplies, unfortunately my school doesn’t have any of this🤦🏽♂️
It'll go to your school account first, cover the bill, then an excess will be sent to you in a check or transfer depending on how your school handles overages! You should also consider applying for scholarships - they may be able to replace those loans! I have a free training on how to get them here: thescholarshipsystem.com/freetraining
Can I use any of these loans to cover my cost for the Fall 2021 semester?
You may be able to, depending on which loan you pursue. Not all will allow you to backpay, however.
How is interest calculated?

My child is attending a university this year. Her FASA stated a unsubsidized loan but she has received so many scholarships. Is this because of her net cost? Would the loan be in my name or hers shes not18 as of yet.
After the school receives the scholarship money, they will most likely update the financial aid award letter, possibly removing the unsubsidized loan.
We both go to school barely making it n they decided we should borrow I said nope
Don’t they give you years to pay back your loans?
Unsubsidized student loans are set to a standard 10 year repayment term.
It was not and I’m $11k in debt with unsubsidized loans 😭
what is your plan?
No I decline
Not at all
TCU (Texas Christian University) was very clear that the subsidized and unsubsidized loans were just that...loans.
