First off, I'm glad to see more video from you. I had hoped you wouldn't completely retire from RUclips. Secondly - an organ. The KING of instruments. This evening I just finished a Christmas concert with my community band. I've been a euphoniumist and lover of the euphonium for decades. But pipe organs are a great love of mine as well! And now I see you with one! When I first saw the console I was prepared to ask you about your Hauptwerk organ. But then the video shifted to the pipes! I love it! Tell us about the organ, its history, etc? Romantic? Baroque? How is it voiced? Do you do your own tuning, etc since you have tools and work on so many other instruments? Hey - you have the makings of a whole new series on your channel that has little to do with brass instruments. Unless your organ also sports a trompette en chamade, which by now woud NOT surprise me about you! Good on ya!
Please let the record show that this is absolutely zero percent sarcasm. I have enjoyed hearing you play all these instruments and I also enjoy listening to what I hear as a Kiwi accent. As a monoglot, i enjoy hearing the accents from around the world.
I still have no idea how the human brain can cope with this.... I struggle with one note at a time with my trombone! Awesome to see it all up and running too!
Small tip as an organist, use your big toe to press the pedals not the little one - makes it easier to play with more dexterity. Sounding great though!
@@thummumcrysanth but even when playing with socks (I do it a lot when I have a non adjustable bench, as I'm quite tall and the pedals are too close to me otherwise) it's useful to play on the big toe it gives more control
Great sound and wonderful orchestration - So well tuned as well. It really is wonderful to see it all assembled and playing. Thanks for sharing, I know I’d love to hear more
great work Trent (assembly and also playing). :) Also nice to see "Frosty the Snowman" on the stand behind you - we just played this last week with our brass quintet.
Oh wow, an upload after we all thought you retired! Your organ is so complicated, I was expecting something like a harmonium but you even have a foot keyboard (or whatever that part is called).
Hey Trent, there is a youtube channel called "The Petherics" and they are currently trying to restore a pipe organ and are having some questions - maybe you could swing by and help? Nice playing BTW, love to hear more!
Love that you casually have an entire pipe organ at home
I just picture Trent like Davy Jones. Late at night playing ominous hymns while it pours raining
Honestly if this became just Trent playing music and recording his love for music I’d be fine with it. Great to see you again!
Perfect introduction to the pipe organ
I couldn’t think of a better pair of socks to use for this. They really bring out the tone of those pedals!

i am glad that you have a home pipe organ.

Trent, the number of instruments you play so well never ceases to amaze and impress me. Thank you for sharing and Merry Christmas.
Great sound and a wonderful accomplishment. Merry Christmas Trent… and to all the little Hamiltons, a good night.
I hope you're living your best life :-) best wishes
its a good day when trent posts
Nice to (literally) hear of you again!
I still have no idea how the human brain can cope with this.... I struggle with one note at a time with my trombone! Awesome to see it all up and running too!
Good to see you back. The organ sounds amazing and crisp.

A clean pair of leather soled dress shoes would be ideal for pedal work. Such a luxurious instrument!

When I got the notification for a new video I almost broke down! This is awesome
Love the socks!😂
Absolutely perfect. This brought a tear to my eye 🥲
Crazy! Who has an actual pipe organ at home?? So jealous! 😃
Very beautiful. Thanks for sharing

That thing is rad
Nice to see you back. I'm not much of a one for Christmas, but that is my favourite carol. Good stuff!
I love the organ shoes!
great work Trent (assembly and also playing). :)

Glad to see another video from you. Happy holidays
You know you've made full music-nerd cred when you have an organ at your house. That ain't no chamber-organ either, looks like the real deal!
Unbelievable. This is unimaginable to most people to do. Congratulations
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, Trent! I hope all is well! I’ll always be happy to see a video from you. Love from the US!
Actually insane
Merry Christmas, Trent!
Nice socks
Awesome!
Gorgeous sound! Happy Holidays, Trent!
Great job with the organ, congratulations. By the way, according to Alfred Dürr, Bach had socks just like yours.
Very nice Trent! Nice socks too :)
Nice. This is one of the videos you have posted. Thanks for showing us your organ.
Wow, it is great to see this assembled and to hear you playing it. Thank you, and Merry Christmas.
Wow a pipe organ in the home. Must sound awesome
More of this😊
Thank you. I enjoyed that very much. Good to see the organ up and running. Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year to you and your family.
THE LEGEND IS BACK
Nice one Trent! Good to see it up and running.

So amazing to get that notification! It sounds incredible!!!
This sounds lovely!
Wonderfully done
Impressive work
I want to make a mini organ if I have the time to do so.
The king is back 😮😮😮
0:09 almost the lick
This is Excellent! 😊
❤❤❤❤
wow!
Wearing shorts and t-shirt while playing a christmas carol looks quite unusual for us northern hemisphere inhabitants.
When I gave a go to trying to lean to play organ, I decided that a good organist would also need eyeballs in his knee-caps.
Wow.
nice socks.
Holy Shit
美しい音色ですね!
Save some talent for the rest of us. 😉
Sounds great!
Well done! Are those DFTBA sox? :-) Also timely (kinda), as I'm finally starting to build my Hauptwerk console...
What is your next project Maestro?
This must me rediciøusly expensive?

Neighbours close by?
Honestly organ seems like a pain in the butt to play
Especially with all of the sitting down they do.

Honestly I’m fine with him quitting standard videos and just posting clips
He's back, youtube is like cat-nip, especially if you're monetized, good show, olde boy! Review any Monette horn, that you may come acreoss....
The likelihood of me coming across a Monette is zero, sadly.
