You're never going to lose this rod and reel it's vibrant. Smooth long cast consistent smooth retrieval. It works my crankbaits swimbaits spinners jigs soft plastics and tube baits like a pro. Highly recommend for a great budget combo
I believe you will be happy with your purchase. Since this video I have bought a few more for friends and family if that says anything lol. Tag us on IG @Theregoes Action Sports with your first catch and we"ll post it!
It looks like the Lew's Xfinity 🧐 what is the difference 8 ball bearing system and has the same frame on it and price point close. The handle grips is like the lzr or Lazer ⁉️ change one thing and is a hole new rod and reel combo are you shor about that Lew's ❓ I like the Lew's brand and have enough of them.
I’m not too familiar with the Xfinity but I do believe it’s a Walmart specific combo so maybe it’s just barely different to be just slightly cheaper in price
Not sure how to give you an exact weight but if you set the drag right you’ll be able to land some very large fish. The rod seems very well constructed, it’s a medium power which gives it a good flexibility so chances of it snapping are fairly low. Unless you plan on catching monstrous ocean fish I wouldn’t really worry about it snapping to be honest! Now if you are gonna be strictly using it for something like huge catfish it may not be the right combo for you but you could for sure land some biggin cats on it if you work it right! Hope this helps you out.
In my opinion I'd honestly get the whole combo, I believe you will be pleased with your purchase. Since this video I have bought two more if that says anything.
All good I don't take it as rude. Never been big into panfish so pretty much all the panfish around here to me are as I say "blue gills" lol. How can you tell? Is it the turquoise around the mouth and less orange on the underside?
Love the XP! Iv always thought the smash was a great bang for your buck but since I have made this video they have bumped the price of the smash up 10$ and Bass Pro has recently dropped the price on the XP so with that being said I'd go with the XP if you are looking for a little better combo. The XP reel is 10 bearings compared to the smash's 8 bearing system. The XP also has a better rod paired with it being an IM8 and the smash only IM6. Looks like you can get the XP on Bass Pro Shops online for 100$ right now and if that's the case I'd go with the XP both great rods but the XP is a notch up in quality and for the price its at now I think that its the best bang for your buck.
@@TheregoesActionSports smash looks awesome its at 79.99 xp custom is on sale right now was 140 on sale for 99.97 Wich is a steal and like you said upgraded just missing that bright lews color on the rod lol but I was mainly asking because the reviews on bass pro weren’t that great I’ll probably take your advice and get the xp custom spinning combo knowing yours held up good I appreciate the response maybe throw a video up comparing the two for people looking hard pressed to find a Good video on either combo. Thanks bro fish on !
@@joshuaswanson3068 Yeah I'm sure you will be pleased with the XP tbh. Sometimes I prefer the XP over the crush spinning combo if that says anything. Thank you for the feed back and I'm hoping I was of some help. I will do a comparison of maybe the smash, XP, and crush this spring! Reel them in my friend🤘🏼
So far so good and I am generally a little rough with them haha. That is a tough choice right there tho. I believe you will be quite pleased with either so I guess what it would most come down too is do you wanna pay a little more for a 10 bearing compared to the 8 bearing on the smash as well as IM8 rod on the mach 1 is probably a little lighter and stronger than the IM6 that comes with the smash combo. Hope this helps a little!
I just looked at these today at BassPro. I believe the one i held was 6" in Rod. now I amy go band buy it. Did I miss it or did you mention what pound line you were running? Great vid.
Im not sure if I mention it in the video but I typically run 15 or 20 lb green moss colored braid to a clear fluorocarbon lead. Really helps feel those small bites and gets ya a nice hookset!
Great review. I saw snother video with a guy catching a 34lb Drum with this combo, he had a blast, the rod and reel performed great. I bought one today and Im going to use it to catch catfish. 😃😃

if you don't like the 8 bearings try my 3 bearing reel that just snapped in half for no reason
I was just looking at one of those at Cabelas today. May grab one. Good video!
Thanks man and if you do grab one I believe you'd like it!

Dude I have his combo idk abt the rod but the reel is amazing I would pay double the price just for the reel
Just got one for Christmas haven’t got to bust it out yet but good video really helpful

I got one for Christmas too. Been catching some biggens with it.

So stupid question but what is the rod reared for like how many pounds can it hold before it snaps

also should i just buy the reel or should i buy the combo (i have an ugly stik GX2)

I love mine I use it for redfish trout and drum
Heck yeah, they work well🤘🏼
Awesome vid. I think that was a rock bass.
Thank you!
hybred blue gill or war mouth blue gill. Alot of the ponds in Michigan where stock with them. they are little more agressive then a normal blue gill
is the rod collapsible or is it just one long piece? thanks
Just one piece! Bass Pro makes a "travel rod" that breaks down into 3 and has a little carry case/tube if that something that suits you better.
@@TheregoesActionSports good to know thank you very much for the info

10 pound SpiderWire stealth braid in moss green!
